A mixture of confusion and nervousness filling up in his stomach, Daichi lightly pressed the doorbell of the (L/n) 's estate.
He had wondered why (F/n)'s mother decided to invite him over despite the world going through some serious issues. Wouldn't it be safer for both him and (F/n)'s family to visit another time? Preferably, when the whole world has received the vaccine?
It's so hard to breathe in a mask.
Sweat formed on his forehead as he fanned himself using his free hand. The heat over the days seemed to grow more and more unbearable, a sign of summer approaching. The mask he wore seemed to amplify the heat, making him wonder how do people get used to wearing one.
The door slowly opened, revealing (F/n) 's mother behind it. Her eyes lit up upon seeing the boy as the corners of her mouth stretched into a small smile.
"Daichi-kun! I'm so sorry for making you come here out of a sudden."
"It's okay Mrs. (L/n). I think it's about time for me to get some fresh air after being cooped inside my house for some time." He let out a small chuckle as he scratched the back of his head.
The woman led him inside the house as she started to ask a few questions regarding his well-being. Was he having enough sleep? Eating enough healthy food? Was he coping with the new way of doing classes?
The boy let out a light laugh then told her to not worry since he already gotten used to his new restricted life. Well, he had to admit that he felt quite sad that he can't practice volleyball with his teammates nor see his buddies face to face.
" So, how's (F/n) doing?"
The mother let out a tiny laugh, as she rubbed the back of her head. For a moment, a dark expression flashed on her face. It looked like she had some sort of Vietnam war flashback.
"Actually, that's the reason why I called you here."
Mrs. (L/n) further explains to him on how (F/n) had technically became a 'shut-in'. She barely goes out of her room, and only does when it is time to eat. The mother tried countless of methods to bring her out of her room but to no avail.
" So, you want me - " Daichi points to himself- "to convince her to come out of her room?"
The mother nodded her head.
A sigh escaped from the boy's mouth. He knew that (F/n) is quite an introverted person. Probably because of the quarantine, her introvertedness has raised to a whole new level.
" Let's go and see her. "
A smile formed on the mother's mouth upon hearing his statement.

Click. Click. Click.
(F/n)'s fingers moved across the keyboard as her eyes stayed glued on her laptop screen. She finally accomplished all school work and now concentrated on writing a chapter for her book.
Ever since quarantine has started, she was entirely grateful to have some spare time to continue writing a book she had neglected for quite some time. What made it even better is that she doesn't have to go out of her room and see other people.
Hmm, should this character die in this part? Nahh, it's so cliché.
Her finger aggressively pressed the backspace key multiple times, erasing a typo she just made. A sigh then escapes from her mouth as she drummed fingers on her desk, thinking deeply about the flow of her story.
" The character does something stupid then-" she mumbled as her fingers danced across the keyboard.
A loud knock then interrupted her train of thought, making her click her tongue in annoyance.
