"Please (f/n), it would be nicer if you would accompany me plus, you can cheer the team with me." Yachi begged. This was the fifteenth attempt of Yachi persuading me to come.
" I want to stay at school since there's tons of things for me to do. Not to mention that they might give out assignments on that day so if I stay, I could give the papers to Hinata and Kageyama.", I countered. I know I need a break from time to time since school is stressful. Heck, I think I'm one step closer to my grave once the exams start.
" But if you're gonna go, you'll get perfect scores. "
~~~
I let out a sigh of relief once I took a seat in the van. After the long match, the boy's volleyball team was ready to go home. Dang it, I can't believe she lured me out by using the 'perfect quizzes' excuse. I silently pondered to myself. Well, it kind of made sense when she mentioned that she needed someone to accompany her since the venue was crawling with tons of dudes that looked like they're gonna murder you in your sleep.
I was suddenly lost in my own sea of thoughts."Hey," a familiar voice sent me back to reality. His bag slung on one shoulder, Kageyama stared back with his usual poker face.
"Yachi told me to sit here since she wanted to talk to Hinata about something."
"Um, okay." I moved to the seat next to the window which was supposedly reserved for Yachi. I distracted myself by staring out of the van's window, knowing that talking to Kageyama will end up as a fail. Observing the sky, I noticed that the sun was setting and the blue sky is slowly changing to an orange color. I giggled, the orange shade of the sky reminded me of Hinata's hair. This lead me to reminisce my memories of Hinata and Kageyama fighting over little things.
"Why are you laughing?", Kageyama questioned. I felt my heat rise on my cheeks. How can I say it in a way that it doesn't sound weird?, I pondered as I anxiously fiddled with my own fingers.
"I'm sorry if this sounds weird. I just realized that Hinata is like the shade of orange in the sky while you're the blue color. Both pretty by themselves but once they work out, especially in a sunset, it becomes more breathtaking. Though the sun set is short lived, I cherished every second of it. " I feel a tiny smile creep up to my face. I snapped out of my thoughts then turned to Kageyama's direction.
" T-thanks. ", I watch him mutter under his breath. His face flushed red as he avoided my gaze. Am I imagining this? Did he just? I shook my head, Probably its the sun's ray's that made him look like he blushed. I once again stared out of the window, letting myself get distracted. Suddenly, the memory of Kageyama blushing flashed through my eyes as my the heat rose up in my cheeks. Brain, why are you not cooperating?!, I mentally screamed to myself. I layed my head on the headrest of the seat as I conditioned myself to calm down. All of a sudden, my arms felt weak as my eyes starts to droop. Probably because of running to help Yatchi and cheering for the team had drained my energy, I thought then dozed off.
It was already dark when the voices of the team woke me up.
"Oh, she's awake.", A familiar voice announced. I squinted at the blurry figures in front of me. Probably it's the team, if so, what are they doing? I questioned myself as I blinked multiple times to clear my vision.
"So how's your sleep (L/n)?" Nishinoya sempai asked as he wiggled his eyebrows at me which confused me. What is he trying to imply?
"Umm, it's okay." I spotted Suga smile as Tanaka and Nishinoya giggle at my response. What's happening?, I felt a panic rise in me then realization hit me hard in the head. I turned to the direction of my seatmate, Kageyama, who's now in a blushing mess. Okay, I guess I not imagining this either.
"What happened?" I questioned them as my heart thumped like there was no tomorrow. My thoughts ran wild. Oh my god, what if I fainted instead of sleeping? What if I was sleep talking!? The thoughts momently terrorized my brain. With his motherly instincts, Sugawara sensed that I was drowning with worry.
"(l/n)-san, don't worry it's not something serious." His attempt of calming me down didn't help me at all since I was too busy over-thinking of the possible things that I have done.
"(f/n) it's just," Yachi fumbled a bit with her phone then showed me a picture. In that picture, Kageyama and I were both asleep while leaning at each other.
"EEHHH!?" I reached for her phone but Yachi hid it even before I could grab it. My god, no wonder why they're acting so weird. They're teasing Kageyama.
"Delete it." Kageyama demanded, his face still red from blushing. This clearly shows how embarrassed he felt upon seeing the picture. Tsukishima snickered at his reaction.
"It's useless if you asked Yachi to delete it since we all have it in our phones." I watched as he repositioned his glinting glasses in place then felt Kageyama's furry rising.
"I hate you guys."
Hinata covered his mouth to refrain himself from laughing out loud.
"Hinata urusai."
