"Okay! Back from the start of the barricade scene!" The director, Ennoshita speaks through his megaphone. His voice echoing all through the gym.

A sigh escapes from her mouth as (F/n) stared down at her costume, the raggy and dirty clothes made her feel like a real pheasant girl on the streets of Paris.

Casted as Eponnie, (F/n) could never believe how similar her situation is with the character.

From across the stage, she spots the person playing Marius for the school play. He fumbled with his plastic sword, trying to insert it in the scabbard that was strapped on his hips.

Yamaguchi Tadashi.

The boy that she loves.

(F/n) clenched her hands into fists. The needles are stabbing into her heart, the pain making her want to cry.

He's the Marius in her story, cute, charming and romantic. It's sad to admit that he already has a Cosette in his life.

I'm just a friend to him, like how Marius thought of Eponnie.

"Okay, one, two, three, ACTION!"

(F/n) takes a deep breath as she entered the stage, the feelings of the character deeply rooted in her heart.

She spots a guard successfully climb up the barricade, his gun pointing towards Yamaguchi. The boy didn't notice at all, too busy fighting at the other guards, who also climbed up.

(F/n) runs across the stage, her heart pounding loudly against her chest. In her hand is the prop letter of Cosette, now crumpled with her fingers as she dashed to protect the boy.

A loud and deafening 'BANG' echoed in the gym.

The girl clutched her left rib. Acting out that she had just been shot, she rigidly walked towards Yamaguchi, who had also driven away the guards with his buddies.

"Marius!"

The boy turned around, a moment of shock passes through him as his eyes landed on her.

"What are you doing here?!"

He rushes to her, placing his hands on her her shoulders. His eyes seemed to peirce her soul, the lingering pain seemed to become more painful.

"I-I have to give you this." (F/n) hands over the letter to him. "It's from Cosette."

A tiny laugh escapes from her lips as she felt her legs wooble as the floor beneath her sway.

"Woah-" the boy catches her in a nick of time.

"Are you-" He froze, seeing the blood stains on her clothes.

The girl let's put a tiny grunt of pain as clutching her left side. The boy slowly props her down, the expression of shock still plastered on his face.

The orchestra starts to play the song, the sad music flows around the gym, making some of the audience shed a single tear.

"Don't you fret, Monsieur Marius,I don't feel any pain. A little fall of rain. Can hardly hurt me now," (F/n) sang as she raises her hand to touch his cheek. "You're here, that's all I need to know. And you will keep me safe, And you will keep me close,
And rain will make the flowers grow."

"But you will live, 'Ponine, Dear God above! If I could heal your wounds with words of love!" He grabs her hand, clutching it in the process, the expression of shock now changed to worry.

"Just hold me now, and let it be,Shelter me,Comfort me," She sang, her voice echoing in the gym.

"You would live a hundred years, If I could show you how. I won't desert you now."

"The rain can't hurt me now.
This rain will wash away what's past!" (F/n) looks at him, trying to convey the character's feelings. "And you will keep me safe, And you will keep me close,
I'll sleep in your embrace at last!
The rain that brings you here is heaven-blessed! The skies begin to clear and I'm at rest. A breath away from where you are, I've come home from so far."

Their voices overlapped each other, making a harmony that echoes around the walls. (F/n) wished that this scene would never end, in fact she wished that she would stay in his arms just like this but she knows that everything must come to an end.

A tiny grunt of pain escapes from the lips of the girl.

"I'm here," Yamaguchi squeezes her hand even tighter.

"That's all I need to know."

The girl let's out a weak smile.

"And you will keep me safe,
And you will keep me close,"

The boy watched as the breathing of (f/n) goes shallower by the second.

"And rain,"

"And rain," He echoes.

"Will make the flowers," She continued.

"Will make the flowers,"

The girl's eyes closed as her head proceeded to fall towards his chest.

"Grow," He sang, caressing her cheeks before hugging her tight.

With the rehearsals over, the girl proceeds to change into her spare clothes. Once finished she walks towards the exit of the gym. Suddenly, (f/n) found herself surrounded by the boy's volley ball team.

"(l/n)!" Suga-san patted her shoulder, a smile forming on his angel face. " You did great!"

"Really?" She asked, a hint of doubt lingering in her tone.

"Seriously, you did good. " Daichi adds, wiping away the sweat on his forehead. " Most of the audience teared up during your character's death scene."

(F/n) turns her head and sees Hinata, the orange-haired boy did a thumbs up as a single tear fell from his eye. Beside him was Kageyama, his eyes red and puffy.

Wait, Kageyama also cried?!

The girl blinked once or twice, checking if she was seeing things right.

"(l/n) - san!"

Asahi approaches the girl, his eyes streaming with tears. He placed his hands on her shoulders which made her body freeze on the spot.

"Don't die! Find another guy for you!" He cried while gently shaking (f/n) back and forth.

"Oi, Asahi you're scaring her."

Sugawara pulls him away from the girl, leaving a pool of tears in front of the girl. From the side, Daichi sighed. He muttered something about Asahi being weak-hearted.

"Wait, where is Tanaka and Nishinoya?" (f/n) glanced around the gym. "Did they come too?"

"Yes, apparently they're trying to convince Ennoshita to change the ending of the play." Daichi crosses his arms, looking quite annoyed.

At the sides of the girl's eyes, she spotted Yamaguchi approach the tall blond. The way his eyes sparkled while he talks to Tsukishima made her heart feel like they've been thrown darts at.

She adverts her eyes, trying to forget what she had seen.

"(l/n)?" Daichi asks, a look of concern plastered on his face.
"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, just tired."

A weak smile spreads on (f/n) 's mouth.

I guess, I'll be on my own.
