Author's POV

Rey ran with all his might trying to escape from all the boys who were running behind him to catch him.

"Rey, ruk yar...aaj teri haldi hai, ye marathon kyu karwa raha hai."

Swayam said annoyed trying to catch him when Rey sarcastically said,

"I didn't ask you all to run behind me, jab mene kaha ki mujhe haldi nahi lagani to nahi lagani."

"Arre ye kya baat hui?" Omkara said tiredly, he stopped running after his brother and Viren halted too beside him,

"Haan hum sabne bhi to haldi lagayi thi."

"Yeah every groom does." Vicky said almost catching him but he managed to escape, he saw Avantika coming carrying a tray and quickly hid behind her breathing heavily.

"Mom save me from these devils."

"Ohho, kya hua, kyun mere bachhe ko bhaga rahe ho?"

Avantika said caressing Rey's cheeks lovingly while he hugged her from behind now grinning big,

"Maasi, aapka ye beta, he is saying ki ye haldi nahi lagayega."

Shakti said annoyed and Shivaay supported him,

"Haan haldi iski hai, or iss janab ko haldi hi nahi lagani."

Avantika now turned to Rey eyeing him with a pointed look making him adorn a pouty face,

"Mum please na, I don't want to put that thing on my body."

"Bhai, ye kya buri shakal bana raha hai, haldi hi to hai, English me bole to turmeric." Bharat said making the D3 boys turn to him with a impressed look, Amar patted his back and Nil said,

"Kya baat hai, aaj sahi bola."

"Par haldi kyun nahi lagani?"

Avantika asked him in return, he was trying to come with an excuse but at the end didn't came up with any so just made the puppy face which he knew would melt his mother. But if he is Reyansh Singhania, then she is Avantika Singhania, his mother, always two steps ahead of her.

"Fine, haldi par dulhan ko dulhe ki jhoothi haldi lagti hai, kehte hai dono ka relation bhi strong hota hai or vo zyada khubsoorat bhi lagte hai. But if you don't want to put this thing on you to mai kisi or ki jhoothi haldi Taani ko..."

She trailed off making his eyes came out of his sockets, the boys smirked knowing that it's not long when Rey would finally give up and they were right as he immediately shouted,

"No! Kisne kaha? Mai haldi laga raha hu. Chup chap lagaunga, aap bataye where I have to sit?"

He asked at the end defeated and all the others grinned as he agreed when Shakti said,

"Aa beta, tujhe hum batate hai kaha baithna hai."

Rey gulped seeing the smirks come across his cousin's faces and he remembered all the times he ever played a prank on them knowing they won't leave him today.

Viren smirked wider and put his hand across his shoulder,

"Haan beta aaj tujhe pura haldi se color na kardiya to hum tere bhai nahi! Right guys?"

"Right!" The other three said in unison and Rey started cursing himself for all of their haldi ceremonies where he did mischief with them.

"Arre nahi bhaiya, color nahi aaj to pura paint karenge isse." Amar said and all of them burst out laughing,
