Author's POV

Shareyam were waiting outside the ICU when Vicky came with Ranvijay and Avantika, both of them were looking tensed at what happened. Avantika had tears in her eyes, Vicky has already informed both of them about the whole situation on their way.

As soon as Rey saw his parents, he moved from his spot in front of the ICU door and rushed to Avantika, hugging her tightly. He wanted her comfort at the moment as she was the only one apart from Taani who could give peace to him. He called her in broken tone,

"Mom! Taa..Taani!"

Avantika hugged him in return, her heart broke seeing his son cry like that. She had never seen him crying since he grew up. He was always strong just like his father, this is the first time she is seeing him breaking down like this. Dhe caressed his head slightly, Ranvijay too patted his head lovingly,

"Rey...Don't worry bachhe. Sab theek ho jaega."

His dad said, Rey detached from his mother and gazed at his father, Ranvijay came forwards embracing him and Rey clinged to him like a child. His parents knew that Rey loved Taani a lot but to this extent they never knew.

He finally calmed down and came out of his embrace, Ranvijay asked him,

"Doctors ne kuch bataya?"

Rey shook his head,

"Reports aane vali hai, doctor is checking her inside."

They all waited for the doctors to come and soon he came out of the room, Rey rushed to him instantly,

"doctor, kua hua? Sab theek hai?"

Everyone was eagerly waiting for him to say something, but by his face they could see there was a bad news, he sighed before saying,

"I am afraid, sab theek nahi hai. Jiska darr tha vahi hua, patient ko internal injuries hui hai, and bleeding bhi." Rey closed his eyes in despair when Ranvijay came forward,

"So what now doctor?"

"We have to operate her, uske baad hi hum aage kuch bata sakte hain. Aap please operation form or sari formalities complete kariye tab tak hum operation ki tayaari karte hai."

Ranvijay nodded and said,

"Please doctor, kuch bhi kariye, kisi specialist ko bulana hai aap bula lijiye. Just save my daughter."

The doctor looked ta him with a smile,

"Aap patient ke father hai?"

Ranvijay answered him,

"Father-in-law."

The doctor smiled, this family was really unique, he liked to see the love and care they had for each other, so he said,

"Don't worry, jab unke pas aap jesi family hai, to I am sure we will be successful. Please excuse me."

Saying that he patted Rey's back one more time and left, the nurse came up to Rey asking,

"aap unke husband hai? Aapke sign chahiye operation ke liye."

Rey nodded and held the paper in his ahnd, he sat down and was filling the form with tears in his eyes, he read it and his eyes stopped at one clause which stated that is something happened to Taani during the operation then the hospital and staff won't be responsible for it. His breath hitched reading it, his hands started shaking, Ranvijay saw his son breaking down and sat beside him,
