"Maya.." she knew she was close, she'd get the whole story in a matter of seconds.
She looked at where their hands touched, hoping it would comfort him and coerce him into telling her what was going on. Then she noticed the shaking, the violent shaking. She thought for a second that it was because he was angry at her for prying. She looked at his face for conformation, but all she saw was fear and worry.
"Maya?" He gripped her hand, then the shaking stopped and he let go.
She watched it happen in slow motion, her brain hadn't registered what was happening.
Her eyes widened as the realisation hit her. She screamed and tried to grab him. Although she was too weak to grab him completely, she still managed to almost push his limp body just enough for the sofa to break his fall so he didn't hurt his head. She was on the ground shaking his body, trying to get him to wake, within a matter of seconds.
Once she processed what was happening, she realised he'd wake soon. She grabbed his hand in hers and swept his hair from his face.
She'd refrain from being angry until he woke up.
Maya put his legs straight and stood up, she tried not to cry at his weak and vulnerable position. It was awful to see her friend in such a state.
She ran over to the kitchen to find a cloth and ran it under the cold tap. Maya ignored the uncomfortable feeling of the cold water on her small hands and wrung out the cloth, folding it as she ran back over to Farkle.
She kneeled down and put his head on her lap, smoothing the cold cloth over his head. She sat like this, watching him as she waited for him to wake up.
She'd seen him like this a few times when he'd faint in class, none as violently or as serious as this. Maya had always hidden her concern for him when this happened in class because she knew that if it was bad then Matthews would do something. She'd never dealt with this on her own before.
She noticed a water drop running down from the cloth into his hair. Maya saw how his hair was matted to his forehead. Subconsciously she found herself calming down as she swept the hair from his face and stroked his cheek, still holding one of his hands.
Now fully focused on his hair, she hadn't noticed Farkle open his eyes. Staring at her in confusion as she played with his hair. He watched as tears rolled down her cheek and off her chin. Despite this, she sat smiling in content, distracted.

Don't hate me.
I mean, you will but try not to.
When I start to get good at writing I'll start to make the chapters longer.
Comment and vote please!! I don't know what it does but I think it does something to help me so do it :)
