Mas lalo naman akong naguluhan sa sinabi niya sa akin.

Why would Papa tell them that? For what reason?

I stood there, still thinking about it. I looked at their direction. They were partying with my cousins, while I stayed here in the food section. I suddenly felt like an outcast. So, that means that they can't talk to me? Ever?

I heard something moving at my back. Paglingon ko nandun si Trent na kumukuha ng pagkain. Napatingin din siya sa akin nung lumingon ako.

"Hey, I have a question." sabi ko sabay harap sa kanya. He's putting some shrimps on his plate.

"What is it?"

I crossed my arms and pursed my lips. Out of all of the people I knew that's here, si Trent lang ang matinong kausap. He has the most sense, perhaps due to his IQ of 160 that Lolo and our aunts and uncles likes to brag about a lot.

"Did you know about my dad telling the people from the community in the mansion to never interact or talk to me?" tanong ko.

He looked at me. "Yeah,"

My eyes widened a little. So... it's real? Dad really asked them to stay away from me? But why? It's not like they're gonna hurt me or something.

"All of them knew?" I asked him, referring to our cousins.

"I don't think so," he replied. "I just heard Mama talking about it, that's why I know."

He continued adding more food to his plate. He and his brother likes to eat a lot. Maybe that's the reason why both of them are so tall. Silang dalawa kase ang pinakamatangkad sa mga lalaki. Medyo madaya nga at kahit anong kain nila parang sa height lang din naman napupunta. Both of them looked so fit, regardless of the amount of food they eat.

"What else did you hear? Did you know why?" sunod kong tanong sa kanya. May silbi din pala 'tong pagkachismoso ni Trent. Akala ko ginagamit niya lang para makibalita doon sa babaeng gusto niya.

Umiling siya. "Mama caught me listening so I didn't hear anything else after that," he said and brought his plate to the table, leaving me there. Tingnan mo 'to! Iniwan ako.

I was kind of tired so I just opted to go back to the house to rest. For some reason, my mind won't stop thinking about everything. I can hear the music downstairs but I just chose to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up with the sound of someone pounding on my door. My eyes are still half-closed when I walked towards the door to open it. I was welcomed with Santi's smile.

"Nads! Swimming tayo!" sabi niya na parang hindi siya nalasing kagabi.

"What? Antok pa ako," sabi ko sa kanya.

"Come on! Malapit na rin tayong umalis kaya enjoy na natin!" panyaya niya sa akin.

I groaned. "Fine, I will. I'll just fix myself," sabi ko at sinaraduhan na siya ng pinto. Makulit siya kaya kung hihindi pa ako ay kukulitin lang ako non. I looked for my two-piece in the cabinet and wore that. Maybe hindi na rin masama na maligo. It could at least make me forget about Brandon.

I still wore my shorts when I went down. They were already at the beachside. Katie and Nikki were at the sun lounger, sun bathing. Mireia is nowhere to be found. Baka nag-aaral na naman 'yun. Sa amin kasing lahat siya ang pinaka studious. She's competitive and probably wants to compete with Trent's intelligence.

The three clowns were at the sea, swimming. Umiling nalang ako at natawa kung paano sila magkulitan. Trent was just swimming quietly with them. Napagdiskitahan na naman siya nung tatlo.
