Move On

My heart is breaking, but the truth is that I understand him. I would have said the same thing.

"The headmistress decided to expel you. You can no longer study at Garnet Academy." Mac said.

Napayuko na lang ako at hinayaan ang mga luhang patuloy sa pagtulo.

"I-I understand... I understand." sabi ko sa kanya. "It's okay."

Inaasahan ko na rin naman ito. The academy will lose its credibility if they'd let me stay.

"Why?" he asked. Napatingin ako sa kanya at ang lungkot lungkot ng mga mata niya. "Why didn't you tell me? I'd help you no matter what, Li... You know I would, but you just don't trust me enough."

"It's not that, Mac..." giit ko.

I trust him. I just don't have the courage to tell him. I love Mac and I'm so afraid to lose him.

"If only you told me everything when you got shot, it wouldn't turn out this way. But you decided to lie about it instead... Sana noon pa man nahuli na ang tatay mo. Hindi na sana umabot dito. Hindi na sana umabot sa pagkakataong wala na akong magagawa pa para sa'yo." saad niya.

All I could do now is to regret how scared I was before. I didn't ask help to anyone. Kinimkim ko ang lahat and now, we are here.

"I don't want to see you ever again." Mac said with pain in his voice and water in his eyes

I know that this is hard for him too. I know him so well. I know that his feelings for me were true, but what I and my father did was unforgivable.

I nodded at him as my tears were flowing down my cheeks. That's the last time I saw the person I love the most.

Sa araw ding iyon ay nakalabas na ako sa kulungan. They said that I'm good to go. Hindi ko alam kung ano na ang progreso ng kaso o kung nakulong na ba ang tatay ko. Wala naman silang sinabi.

The car dropped me at Garnet Academy. Wala na akong ibang babalikan pa rito kung hindi ang mga gamit na kailangang kunin.

Hindi ko rin alam kung saan ako pupunta. I bid a final look at the academy before I ride the cab.

I hope Lancer and Kairon will be okay soon. I hope they will all be okay.

I will forever treasure Garnet Academy. The happiest memories I have would be there.

And to my Mac & Cheese, you'll be my favorite memory of all. I will go far so you no longer have to see me. Just please be happy.

"Sir, can I borrow?" tanong ko sa driver nang makita ang isang news paper.
