Walking into the Gryffindor common room to drop off Seamus' book he left in Charms, I heard sobbing. Looking to the couch to see Hermione crying and Ron holding her.
"Hermione, what happened?" I asked.
"V-Viktor b-broke up with m-me." she sobbed.
"You're still dating Viktor?"
"No." Ron said angrily, "He dumped her twice already. This is the third time. He's been a complete douchebag. I don't know why Hermione still goes back to him everytime he says he misses her."
"Ron!" Hermione scolded. "Viktor is the only guy to ever notice me! Let alone tell me I'm beautiful. No one's ever told me that before."
Ron's P.O.V.
Merlin, she's blind. He's a complete arse! I don't know what she sees in him. I would never treat her like that.
"Well, looks like you've got this handled, Ron. You know more about the situation than I do. If you need to have girl talk about it, I'm always available." Emma said, before moving to leave.
"Oh, wait." she said, "Can you give this to Seamus? He left it in Charms."
I nodded and Emma set it on the table before walking out and the painting shut behind her.
"Hermione." I said, but before I could continue, she cut me off.
"I d-don't know why! I- I just c-care about him so m-much."
SERIOUSLY I CAN TREAT YOU BETTER! I screamed in my head. But I bit my tongue. I don't know why I can't say it. I just can't.
After Hermione's sobs quieted she said, "Thanks, Ron. I'm glad to have friends like you."
Ouch.
