There was a scream. Then more.

"THE DARK MARK! IT'S ABOVE THE SCHOOL!" a Ravenclaw girl ran in screaming.

The entire Great Hall began bustling around.

"EVERYONE STAY IN THE GREAT HALL!" Proffesor McGonagall shouted.

"Proffesor!" I shouted, making my way over to her.

"What is it?"

"Luna went to get something. She's not here. Neither is Neville." I panicked.

"Come with me." she said, running out of the Great Hall. "Where do you think she'd be."

"She was on her way the astronamy tower to pick up her telescope that she'd forgotten. That's where the dark mark is."

When we got closer to the tower, Luna and Neville were dueling with death eaters that had made it into the castle.

A spell shot by my head, and I whipped around to disarm the death eater, where I saw Fenrir Greyback. Smiling quite wickedly, he transformed.

Leaping towards me, I thought he would kill me, but Bill Weasley jumped in front of me, shooting him across the room with a spell, but not before getting a violent swipe to his face.

"Bill!" Fluer shouted, running towards him.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

He nodded, holding his face.

Madam Pomfrey came rushing through, "Oh dear, let's get you to the hospital wing, quick!"

If Bill and Fluer were here, that meant the Order of the Pheonix had arrived.

"Mom! Dad!" I shouted running to them.

"Emma, dear! I don't know how they got in."

"I do." I said. "I'll explain later."

"Cassie!" I shouted, seeing her run past, head to head with a death eater.

"A Slytherin? Dueling against death eaters? What kind of Slytherin are you!"

"THE FIRST SLYTHERIN THAT'S NOT AN ASSHOLE!" she screamed, shooting a jinx at him.

He began to say "Crucio" but never quite finished because Draco shouted, "EXPELLIARMUS!" and his wand flew out of his reach. Draco caught it.

"Aren't you supposed to be helping kill Dumbledore? And not defending this sorry excuse for a Slytherin?"

"I ONLY LET YOU IN THE CASTLE SO YOU WOULDN'T HURT THE WEASLEYS! I WILL NOT PARTAKE IN YOUR KILLING!" he screamed.

The Weasleys spun around almost simultaniously.

"Woah, woah. I'm lost. He tried to protect us?" Fred asked.

"Why?" George asked next.

"Yes. Why." the death eater asked.

"Oh, why aren't you dead yet." Draco realized, and shot one more spell, flinging him through a window. "Anyway, you took me in when my father disowned me. But the death eaters found me and said they were going to kill you off one by one, and I told them I wouldn't let that happen. Dumbledore knew I as going to let them in. I told him. He said he'd do anything to help the Weasleys. He knew that they wouldn't exactly try to kill every student in this school, they were just after him."

Ron blinked. "Wow."

"Wait. When did Ron get here?" I asked, shooting a hex at an oncoming death eater.

"I don't really know. We always seem to be where Harry is, coincidentally." Hermione answered.

"Wait. Hermione's here too?"

Hermione nodded, shooting another spell.

"How is it we're all having a conversation and none of us have died yet? I  mean, maybe we should focus on the battle."

"Good idea." Mr. Weasley agreed, and we all went back to fighting.

Suddenly, everything was still. The death eaters were gone.

"Dumbledore!" Harry ran down from the tower shouting, "DUMBLEDORE'S DEAD!"

Screams could be heard from the bottom of the tower, and we all ran out of the school to see a crowd of students.

Harry ran after Snape. "Harry, no!" Hermione shouted after him, but he was too far away.

-------------------------------

Harry was sitting next to Dumbledore, tears streaming down his face. Dumbledore was his father-figure. Dumbledore was just as family as the Weasleys to him. As Sirius was. Harry wanted to hold onto everyone he had left, and they're slowly dying away. I can only imagine how horrible Harry feels. Ginny, standing next to me, couldn't take it and went over to sit next to Harry. He leaned his head on her shoulder and cried.

Proffesor McGonagall slowly raised her wand, light illuminating from it. Madam Pomfrey followed, then the other proffesors, then the students.

Luna and I raised ours together. Seamus held my other hand with his free one, as the lights merged, Breaking through the darkness of the mark of violence and death hang above our school. Forcing it apart into nothing. This is just what Dumbledore wanted. This is just what Dumbledore said.

"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light."

He wanted us to band together. To fight together. To go down together if need be. That's exactly what we were doing. Cassie and Draco were the only Slytherins raising their wands in salute, but they were just as welcome to us. They broke through the housist barrier. They were different. A good different. And I couldn't be prouder to be their friend. They risked everything to be good. Draco risked everything to defy his family and fight for our side. To fight against Voldemort. He was fighting against his family, which left him with none. No -- because we were his family. The Order of the Pheonix. Cassie. Hogwarts. Hogwarts was his home now, just like it is and was for Harry. Cassie risked everything to be with Draco. She may be killed, she may be tortured, by the death eaters, but she did it anyway. Not just because she was a badass, even though that's probably part of the reason, but because she would risk everything for love.

That's what Dumbledore wanted. Love to triumph. Good to stick togehter, to fight together, to go down together. To remember to turn on the light.
