Chapter 27

Who would have thought

Semestral break na, and we're decided to go to La Union. Sadly, apat lang kami na pupunta doon, just Noelle, Dustin, Wren, and me. Dapat talaga kasama si Anne, at si Ryker if pwede siya. But unfortunately, may ibang trip si Anne kasama ang Dad nila Wren. Ganoon din si Ryker.

I already packed my things that good for three days. Hinihintay ko na lang dumating ang sasakyan na gagamitin namin. Car ni Dustin ang dadalhin.

I heard a beep from a car so I think, they're already outside. I went out of my room to check if it's really them. I was nearly at the door when Wren entered.

"Goodmorning, babe." Wren get my bag from me and gave me a peck on my cheek.

"Morning." I also gave him a kiss on his cheek.

"I'm excited!" Noelle, from the passenger seat, squealed. Pinakita ko din ang excitement ko at pumasok na sa backseat katabi ni Wren.

"Maaga pa, you can sleep more." Tinapik niya ang balikat niya, gesturing to rest my head on his shoulder.

Honestly, I'm still sleepy. 7am pa lang ng umaga. 4 hours kasi ang drive from here to La Union at gusto nila na sa resort na kami mag lunch.

I leaned my head on his shoulder and he caressed my hair until I fall asleep.

"Baby, wake up." I felt a gentle tapped on my cheek. "We're already here."

Iminulat ko ang mga mata ko. Nakahiga na ako sa lap ni Wren ngayon. I'm sleeping for 4 hours straight? Gosh. Sobrang comfortable naman ng lap ni Wren para makatulog ako ng ganoon kahaba.

We rented a villa with two rooms. A master's bedroom with one queen size bed and one room with two beds. Perfect for us. Syempre sa room na may dalawang bed sila Wren at Dustin. Ang awkward naman isipin na magkatabi silang dalawa sa isang kama. I chuckled at my own thought.

Inaayos namin ni Noelle ang mga gamit namin dito sa room. Hinanda ko na din ang two piece suit ko para mamaya.

"Let's go!" Dustin shout from the outside of our room. Magla-lunch na kami.

"We're coming!"

Naglalakad na kami papunta sa restaurant na kakainan namin and medyo malayo siya.

"I'm still sleepy." I lazily said. I'm clinging on his arm and leaning my head on it.

"Anong oras ka ba natulog? Puyat na puyat ka. Look, you have dark circles under your eyes." Wren sounded like a dad.

"I don't know. Nakatulog ako habang nanonood ng movie." I said with my eyes closed. Mainit din at ang sakit sa mata ng araw kaya nakapikit ako.

"Will you marry me?"

I quickly opened my eyes and looked at him.

"What?" I said, shocked. Bakit bigla bigla naman siyang magtatanong ng ganoon?

He let out a hearty laugh. "Now, are you still sleepy?" Tanong niya, bakas pa rin ang tawa.

"Huwag ka magbiro ng ganoon!" Inis ko siyang hinampas sa braso.

"Aray! Ginigising lang kita. Effective naman diba?" Sabi niya habang hinihimas ang braso na hinampas ko.

"Ewan ko sayo." I rolled my eyes and sped up my walk. I heard his chuckles before encircling his arms around my waist. Naglalakad kami habang nakayakap siya sakin.

"Nasa bakasyon tayo. Bawal muna magtampo." He whispered over my ears and chuckled afterwards. I just roll my eyes and sighed.

"Kaya naman pala ang bagal niyo! Pwede maghiwalay muna kayo? Gutom na ako!" Sigaw ni Noelle. Nasa unahan namin sila at medyo malayo nga kami sa kanila. Kung makapag saway, mas malala nga sila sa amin.
