Happiness
We're just sitting at our table while watching Noelle and Dustin dance in the middle. They're already married and we're at the reception. Looking at them right now? They are so in love with each other.
"Let's dance." Wren, beside me, suddenly asked.
My mouth gaped open when Wren's hand gently held mine. He stood up and instructed me to do the same. I was just looking at him as we walk towards the people dancing. The moment we arrived at the middle, he guided my hand to hooked around his neck then his hands placed on my waist. We swayed our body along the slow music.
"Are you already sure about me? I mean, C-can you see me as your...uh..." I tried to think about the comfortable word, but I couldn't. I decided not to continue what I'm saying bacause of the sudden awkwardness I felt. And I have a plan later, I don't want to do it yet. I need some courage.
"Nevermind." Was all I said. I plastered a wry smile and couldn't return my eyes back to him.
"The moment I get to know you and fell for you, I couldn't see myself being with others in the future. Just you. Call it corny, but that's what I felt. Things happened, but I've given the chance to be with you again." He softly said those words while staring straight into my eyes. I can't help but to bite my lower lip because of what he said.
"Kasalan mo naman 'yon." I said in a serious voice. I just wanted to tease him.
His face immediately softened. I tried my best not to laugh.
"I-I'm doing my very best to make it up to you, and I'm still sorry for my foolish move." He looks very apologetic.
"Are you, really?" I said in a mocking tone. I even raised my brows at him.
"Is it not enough? Tell me what you want me to do, so I could get your trust back." He said with a pleading eyes. He looked like a lost puppy.
"Give me more time to think." I flatly said. Oh my God. I'm sorry baby for making fun of you.
"I can w-wait." Nahihirapan niyang sabi.
"Are you for real?" I said, chuckling a bit. "It's already a month since we're together again. Did you really think I still have a doubt?" This time, I laughed. His pleading expression immediately turned into a scowl.
"You're bullying me! My heart almost come out from my chest earlier!" He blurted out. Hinawakan niya pa ang dibdib na parang nakahinga nang maluwag. Ngayon ko lang din napansin na nakatigil na pala kami sa pagsasayaw. Our eyes met and we both laughed from realization, but then he quickly switch it in a serious face. What a speed!
"You know how much I regret what I did before. How dare you teased me like that." He looked at me with his frowning face. His voice sounded hurt.
"I'm sorry." I chuckled. "I just love seeing you with that expression." I said, reffering to his frowning. I am grinning while pointing at his face.
"Let's go back to our seats." Suplado niyang sabi. He held my wrist and gently pulled me along with him, but I stopped him.
"You mad? I'm sorry for teasing you." I said, then bit my lip. I'm held his hand that's holding my wrist. We're still around the people dancing.
"I'm not." He said in a hard tone. He sounded otherwise, though.
"Really?" I acted cute in front of him.
"Yes." He repeated but his eyes were darkly looking at me.
"Then let's dance." I pouted.
"Ayoko na." He avoided my gaze, but I made him face me.
