After another failed mission. . .

My back was pressed to a wall, heavily panting, sweat dripping, after letting out my frustrations on a punching bag that was now dismantled as a result of my excessive jabs. Anything to keep my hatred for Aman bottled in, anything to keep me sane.

I stared at the bandage wrapped over my palm, clenching my jaw as I felt the sharp pain from the impact of the fall I hard earlier. It was a pretty nasty fall. With that type of pain, I wasn't supposed to punch that bag the way I did but, something pushed me. My anger and hatred for Aman.

Suddenly the doors to my locker room opened and a bright smile eased through the door first.

"Hey, handsome. Watcha do..." Mei gasped when she saw the punching bag that was no longer hanging up but lying on the floor, destroyed.

"Okay, what's going on?" She'd completely entered the locker room now. "Hold on, aren't you injured?"

"I'm fine." I lied, picking up a water bottle as I headed for the door.

"Don't you dare walk out on me, Nic. You're not fine, I know you." She said, blocking the way out.

I stared at the slender figure in front of me whose hands were crossed over her chest. Her figure was smaller compared to mine but her stance right now was bossy, like she wanted beat my ass up. She probably could. Mei had always been there for me since childhood. She never gave up on my stubborn ass.

"Come on, let's check that wound." She pulled me with her back to a bench in the locker room and began massaging the arm I landed on earlier with an ointment she described to ease pain. Most parts had me groaning in pain.

"It looks pretty bad. We'll have to apply bandage."

"No. I don't want Curtis asking me questions when I get home."

She stared at me with intense eyes before speaking, "You like her." She grinned at me and I snorted.

She eased the pressure she applied on the arm to sit next to me before asking, "Is there something on your mind?"

"A lot." I sighed and she watched me immensely with great focus. "I'm afraid I may not be able to end my relationship with Curtis when the time comes."

"Why?"

I inhaled sharply. I don't know how she would take what I was about to say. "Curtis and I... had..."

"Haaaad?" She stressed.

"Had se..."

A loud bang on the door trailed me off. It came two more times before Mei reached the door and opened it. I couldn't make out what the guy on the other end said though. A few minutes later she came back to me with a horrific look on her face.

"What's the matter?" I asked.

"Apparently, Aman wants to speak with you."

My eyes expanded in shock as I lifted from the bench.

I burst through the doors of the large room. Simultaneously, all the guys turned their heads towards me, watching me with the same look Mei had when she broke me the news to me.

Dead honest, I was shocked as well. Terrified? I should be. Aman contacting me had got to be a prank, right?

"I want the location of this call to be tracked, now!" I commanded and the guys all scooted to their various position.

I stood on the large platform and a large blank screen rolled down. I had a stern look on my face, clenching my jaws regularly, till the screen came on. All u could see bon the other side was darkness and nothing else.
