I stared at my reflection the next morning. My eyes were baggy but it's nothing a little make over can't fix. I tossed on the bed through out the night, unable to get some sleep. Mr. Lannister's words and attitude, as well as meeting Phil again was too much for me.
It was 7:04 am, i had freshened up and picked clothes from what he got for me. I chose a yellow long sleeved gown that hug my figure with white flats and let my hair fall down my back.
I felt his heated gaze on me when i walked down the stairs. I felt him tense up as he took a sharp gulp. He was dressed in a black armani suit that gripped his dashing figure. His hair was neatly in a comb over fade and his scent was divine.
I approached him with a smile. "Good morning..."
He trailed me off. "Were you planning on spending the whole year dressing up?"
"Well, ..."
He trailed me off again. "I'm late, let's go!" He ordered and i scurried behind him to meet up with his long paces.
We got into his Maybach and he drove off. While he drove, his expression was grim, which wasn't new but his mood today was worse. For one, he drove past the stop signs and over the speed limits.
"Sir, are you okay?" I asked. Afterall, a problem shared is a problem solved right? "The weather today is nice, don't you think?" I shot him a smile, but he only gripped the wheel of the car, hard.
"Uhm, i was thinking..."
He trailed me off as he put on the radio of the car at a high volume.
I scoffed, unbelievably. "Sir, you can't drive over the speed limit, it's wrong!"
He only drove with a higher speed, completely ignoring me. ''Jerk.'' I murmured.
Soon we were at the hotel. He parked the car and got down, heading for the back door with long strides. He'd completely forgot he rode with me, he just left me to get down from the car myself. "Double jerk." I murmured.
Like a completely normal person, i passed through the front door to the hotel. It was another busy morning with guests leaving and going in. I searched for Tori but she wasn't behind her desk, seems she wasn't on duty so i went for the elevator to my office.

"So, the get together went bad?" Asked Susan while we were on our way to the conference room.
"It went fine." I replied, devoid of emotion. I'm was so over Phil and Natasha. "How was work yesterday?"
"Not so busy. There was a conference meeting with the foreign investors. The deal was finalized and their tickets have been booked for flight today."
A loud bang gave us a fright and we hurried towards the source of the sound coming from the conference room. There was a crowd standing outside the room with everyone eager to see what was happening.
"What's going on?" I asked a female worker.
"It's Mr. Lannister. He's scolding Martha." The lady giggled excitedly.
"Seriously, that's rad." Susan exclaimed. "I need to get this on video, Curtis." She got out her phone and worked her way into the crowd. There was so much yelling on the other side. The tone at which Mr. Lannister spoke carried so much anger. I inched forward to see what was going on but i couldn't.
"He's coming, he's coming." A lady among the crowd yelled and everyone began pulling away from the door in a hurry, all eager to get back to their desks.
"Hey, watch it." I exclaimed as the crowd of people pushed me to a corner. Everyone was back to their positions, pretending busy. Some glanced through magazine, some focused on their computers and others began writing. The room now, was so silent you could be hear a pin drop.
The conference door opened and Mr. Lannister walked out first, followed by some men who held important positions in the hotel. I observed him from the hidden corner i stood and he looked pissed.
"Good morning, Sir." The workers stood up to greet him in unison upon his appearance but he ignored as he walked past with a snarl and the men scurrying behind him, trying to meet his pace.
After he left, everyone in the office sighed with relief. He had passed so fast he didn't see me, not like i wanted him to. The conference door opened and Martha walked out with a gloomy face.
After she walked away, the workers began murmuring and laughing.

I pressed on the door bell of the room with a 218 tag.
"Hey." I greeted the lady that opened.
"Curtis, it's about time, come in." Mei smiled brightly as she ushered me in. "Feel at home."
"Thank you." I said and took a seat.
"It's so nice to see you again."
"Yea, i was less busy so i thought I'd come say hi to you and Trent." I looked around the room. "Where is he any way?"
"Trent is out for work. He'll be back soon. Till then, lets have ladies' time."
I giggled. "Yes, sure."
"Let me get you something to drink. Wine?" She asked and i nodded. "Excuse me."
I waited while Mei went to get the wine. Getting comfortable in my seat, i noticed a paper on the floor. Mei had been working on some files, seems a page fell out. I picked up the paper and was arranging it in the file when her phone beeped. It was a reminder text: Shawn's birthday, today.
I stared at the text confused. "Mr. Lannister's birthday is today." I murmured.
"Curtis," Mei called and i turned to her. She carried a tray with a wine bottle and two glasses. "What are you doing?"
"Arranging." I grinned. She walked closer and set down the tray as i stood up. "I have to go."
"Oh, but..." She trailed off.
"It's urgent, i have to leave."
"Uhm, okay. But, u promise to stop by later." She said as she walked behind me to the door.
"Of course, i will."

1:00 pm, i had Susan gather some important personnel working in the Golden Express to hold a meeting.
"Good day, everyone. I would like to thank you all for coming. So, back to the matter at hand, we're all aware it's our manager's birthday and i feel we should do something special for him like a party. Yes, i know it's on short notice, but come on guys,"
"Excuse me," A lady speaks up from behind the room. "But i don't think that's a good idea. We all know Mr. Lannister has been in a bad mood all morning, throwing a party without his permission may have dire consequences and i am not ready to loose my job." The room was filled with murmurs of people protesting.
"Hey!" I yelled and the murmurs stop. "Who knows, his sour mood may be because no one remembered his birthday. Think about it, how would you feel if everyone forget about your birthday? Today is a special day for him so let's do it, guys. What do y'all say?" I raise my hands in a suggestive manner.
"Fine"
"Whatever you say."
"Okay."
"Only because of you, Curtis." Were the replies everyone gave as they headed for the exit.
There standing by the exit was Martha, who gave me death stares.
"Hey," I walked over to her. "we're planning a surprise party for Mr. Lannister, wanna help?"
"No, i don't!" She snapped. "You're so full of yourself, Curtis. Who gave you that right to plan a party for him?"
I sighed unbelievably. "Woaw, hold it up Martha. You know you're the last person I'd want to talk to right now so suck your pain down your throat."
"You want to surprise Mr. Lannister right? Well go ahead. I'd love to see it all crumble down on you." She warned.
"Go away, Martha. You're negative energy and I'm allergic."
"You'll regret this, trust me." She rolled her eyes as she walked away annoyed.
