It's been 3 days since Shawn came back home, and it was a fact that, If he was to choose between me and his work, I would be a goner. He always spent the day in his home office, then when it was my turn to spend the night with him, he'd be exhausted.
Honestly, he looked exhausted and stressed. When he'd come out of his office, his hair would always be ruffled. It was evident that whatsoever made him leave me on our wedding night hadn't been resolved. I usually tried to get him to talk about it, but he would shrug off the topic and lie to me that he's fine.
I was worried about him and I wanted to cheer him up, but the only thing I could think of right now was fruit?Banana. I picked some when I went food shopping earlier.
I stood in front of his home office with a tray full of banana and the door automatically slid open. His office was dark and the only light that shone was from the screen that lit up his face. When he didn't notice me, his eyes were glued to his screen with an arm under his jaw. I cleared my throat, earning his attention.
"Babe," He closed his screen and the lights in the room came on. Shawn was wearing a white short and red tee shirt, looking handsome as ever. Though he was starting to have baggy eyes, that only made him hotter.
"Hey. I got your favorite fruit." I said, dropping the tray to sit on his lap with my arms wrapped around his neck.
He kissed the tip of my nose. "You mean yourself?"
"Oh, so I'm you're favorite fruit now?"
He brushed away a strand of hair that fell down my face before saying, "My favorite scent too."
I flushed. "If you continue to show me so much affection like this, I might just melt one day." I said, tracing the stubble that was growing down his jawline.
"You don't have to worry, sweetheart."
Just then, his phone beeped. I'm not the keenest of sight, but I was able to see a little of the text he received.
'Got a new info on Aman's hide out. Sending it in a minute.'
After he read that text, he became tense. I loved his man and the fact he was going through a tough time hurt me alot. Why couldn't he just open up to me? Then again, who is this Aman?
"Can I see what you're working on?" I said, trying to open his laptop.
"No." He almost yelled as he quickly snapped it shut. "I told you no snooping."
"C'mon..." I tried fighting his grip on the laptop but he was too strong for me. "Alright, I'll just play solitaire."
"No Curtis. I'm not in the mood."
"You're not the one playing the game so you really don't have to be in the mood. I wonder how you sit all day in this boring place. Now, I've come to keep you company you don't want to entertain me."
"I'm just really tired." He sighed.
"I know you're stressed Shawn. That's why i came up with an idea. Why don't we go for our honeymoon. It'll be a great way to ease your stress when you relax and feel cool breeze."
He flinched. "That's not even an option."
"There you again. Boring." I rolled my eyes at him.
"That's not how you felt when I took you to wonder land the other day." He said with a dirty look on his face.
I scoffed. "I really want to go for an honeymoon and you can't sweet talk your way out of this."
"I'm busy this period, Babe. When I'm done we would decide on that."
