"You're here?" Susan took a sit next to me in the large conference room scheduled for the general workers' meeting. "When did you come in?"

"Earlier than usual." I replied, feeling the smoothness of the round table that filled the room scened with black and white, in multitude. Each table having four chairs, which meant two more people may join us soon.

"Why?"

Avoiding my family from asking me anymore questions. Secondly, getting into work without being noticed. Thirdly, my job was on the line as Shawn threatened to fire me.

"Can't i be punctual, anymore?" I questioned, slightly sounding sarcastic and impolite. Getting tired of people asking me questions. Not only that, it seems the police were also keeping their watch on me.

"Who knows, you may just be trying to impress Mr.Lannister again." She teased while taking a bottle of water from the table. Each table had bottled water.

I chuckled. "What are you talking about?"

She drank a moderate amount of water then closed the bottle. "Curtis, news got around that you and the boss are engaged. And, are planning a super secret wedding."

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. She noticed then laughed and said. "Look around you."

I've been sitting for a while and, i knew the employee's had been glaring at me since i came in and occupied the backseat.

"Everyone is with mindset that you forced them to plan a party for the boss when you knew he wouldn't like it."

"I didn't know he wouldn't like it." I defended myself. If only someone was willing to understand this.

"Your actions nearly made everyone loose their jobs. Only for us to find out you had secured yours as the boss's wife." She gasped.

"That is not true. You're closer to me Susan, you know me." I sighed. "Or at least that's what i thought."

She folded her arms and sighed. "To be honest, i don't understand you."

"Honestly, i don't understand myself anymore too." I admitted with a frown. "Lately, I've been feeling like everyone hates me."

She chuckled. "Don't tell me you care?"

"Of course i do, I'm guilty." From where i sat at the backseat, Martha, who was checking around the hall to see if there were any errors caught eye contact with me. She glared at me as usual, and continued the work Susan had completed before joining me. Martha would not miss any chance to impress Mr. Lannister, always acting like his super woman.

When i was obviously the one.

"You don't seem to understand the power you have, Curtis." She beamed up.

I gave her a questioning look. "Excuse me?"

"All they can do is glare at you, then probably speak ill of you behind your back. I'll let you in on a secret." She shifted closer, pinned the hair that fell loosely around my shoulder behind my ear and whispered. "No one would dare confront the boss's wife. Not even Martha."

We both laughed like we were watching a comedy show.

The hall got rowdy with everyone getting in their places, anticipating an important person. The large doors of the hall opened and four men on black and black suits entered, two standing at ease on each side of the threshold. We the employee's stood to our feet, ready to receive him. The man who walked in next was dressed in black pants, black shirt and tie covered in a sharp white coat, designer shoes, a diamond encrusted rolex watch and black shades that made him look powerful. Every inch of him today was incredibly radiant and strong. My eyes roamed his body, admiring everything, from the way the suit snug him so tightly, to his slipped back hair, to the lips that haunted my sleep and my memories.
