Curtis

It had been four days since Shawn left. He didn't say where he went, no reply to the texts I sent him, and when I tried calling, it would bounce to a voicemail. I was worried, kept wondering what work was so urgent that would make him abandon me for days. I hoped he was alright though.

The past four days I felt empty as I yearned for my husband. I just wanted to be with him, to feel him. Sometimes, I got so worked up and felt like smashing something; as if that would bring him back to me.

I tried keeping myself busy while waiting for him; from clearing our room that was decorated by him for our wedding night to cleaning every inch of the house that was already sparkling clean to planting new seedlings in the mini garden behind the house to watching reality TV shows that I hated but Tori was obsessed with and, I actually enjoyed it for once.

My phone beeped and I jumped to pick it up, eager to see if Shawn had replied to my text. A tinge of disappointment hit me when it wasn't from him. I had been getting texts and calls from friends and colleagues, congratulating me on my wedding. The hardest part was when Dad would call, wanting to speak with Shawn and I'd just make a silly excuse every time.

My head was elevated on the sofa, arms crossed as I stared at the ceiling and my eyes roamed the living room, left to right, right to left. Frustration and boredom was something I wasn't used to because I'd always be busy working.

I thought hard of what to do with this free time, Maybe go out. Yeah, I should go out and do stuff now that my husband wasn't home, because when he gets back we'd be too busy making love. *wink*

Now where to go...
My parents house? That's a no no no. Other than that the only place I'd see myself was at work. Now that I thought of it, I should go to Gold Express, Shawn said he had important things to do so he would be there too.

I was dressed up and in the last minute, I remembered I didn't have a ride. I checked the garage and found 2 other cars but they looked too expensive to drive, not that I doubt my driving skills but I wouldn't want to crash my husband's car just three days after our wedding.

The garage had a telecom... and I dialed a saved number in it.

"Hello, Mr. Lannister." The voice on the other end said.

"Uhm... It's actually his wife."

"Oh, Mrs. Lannister, how may I help you?"

I flushed. Mrs. Lannister...

"First of all who am I speaking with please?" I asked.

"This is the security land-line... for the estate."

"O-oh yeah." I stuttered.

"So what's the emergency?"

"I'm actually looking for a ride to the city." I said. Whenever I remembered the last time I hiked outside the estate, I got chills. I almost got beheaded that night and that was something I wouldn't want to face again.

"Mr. Lannister has a personal driver ma'am. I'll contact him and he'll be there shortly."

"Alright, thanks." I ended the call.

Shawn mentioned no one comes to his house so I wondered why he had a personal driver.

10 minutes later I saw a black sedan parked outside and I locked the house and headed for it.

The man with uniform beamed when he saw me. "Good morning, ma'am." he opened the car and I got in.

"Thank you."
