He was no longer the way i remembered him two years ago. His stubble made him look more male as well as his jet black hair, now styled to slip backward. He wore an ash tuxedo that snug nicely on his body and a black shoe. He had pursued me till he caught up with me, now with both of us staring at the other. He looked stunned to see me, not as stunned as i was though.
"Curtis," He whispered, almost surprised.
All i did was give him a glare, and turned around to leave.
Walking back to the car park, i began recalling what happened some minutes ago. Turns out Phil was a grandchild of Mr. Oysten, and i found out in the most horrible way.
•~ Flashback
"Ma'am, the family members are all seated."
"Alright. In a minute or two i want the waiters to carry the food to them. Please don't forget the ..." I trailed off when the lights went out.
"What's going on?" I asked in the midst of darkness.
"I'll work on it."
I headed outside to the see the family was freaking out already because of the power cut. "Please be seated everyone, while we bring the power back on."
I was about to turn to the back room when i crashed into someone and we both fell to the floor. From the figure under me, it was a man. "Sorry. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." And suddenly the lights came back on.
"Phil!" A young woman from the table yelled.
My brain quickly registered what just happened and i hastily got up from him. For a minute there i was lost in the thought of seeing the man who crushed me.
"What are you doing?" Natasha, his wife questioned me with a disgusted look on her face.
"I.. i.. uh," I staggered, trying to find the right words.
"How low will you stoop, Curtis? You don't waste a single minute to show everyone how cheap you are!"
I was perplexed. It was definitely an accident, everyone could see that, but Natasha had always been like this. She craved attention. While my dignity was being trampled on by Natasha, Phil just stood there oblivious, lost in some thought as he continued to stare at me like i was a ghost.
"What's going on here? Natasha, why are you harassing this young woman? She's working for me." Mr. Oysten spoke up as he walked towards us.
"Really, grandfather? You employ Phil's mistress to work for you, that is just great." Natasha said, while she eyed me.
"Women like her always go after the big guns, you know. Any woman would want to fall at the feet of one of the richest men in the country." Phil's mother said, from the table. She never really liked me from the start anyways.
"When i found out she was the event planner, i had a bad feeling about it. I told grandfather it wasn't a good idea but he wouldn't listen, now look." Natasha said.
For a moment there, i thought Phil would speak up an defend me. Turns out, he's the same sick bastard like he was two years ago. The family members all gave me disgusted faces.
With nothing left to be said, i turned to leave.
•~ End
The sedan that dropped me was no longer at the car park. It was now replaced with one of Mr. Lannister's car with him leaning over it.
"Stalking me, again?" I folded my arms while i gave him a bored look.
He smirked. "I would never. Bayman had an emergency call so he had to leave. I didn't want to leave a damsel in distress."
