"This has to be perfect" I say as I rush around the room of requirement setting out the food and drinks. The room took care of everything else so this is the last thing I have to do before we go get ready.
"Hey El calm down it will be great he will love it" Ollie says taking the rest of the stuff from me and putting it out himself. I'm stressed. This is Sirius' 16th birthday it has to be special.
"El why don't you go get ready we will finish up here Franks already got Sirius covered he told him they're crashing a party for Hufflepuff so Sirius will be ready don't worry about anything except yourself okay" Remus says pushing me towards the door. I turn back around to say something but he cuts me off. "We have this handled now go" I sigh and walk out heading back towards the common room.
"Hey love do you want to crash this Hufflepuff party with me and Frank" Sirius says when I walk in the room. I'm so glad he's acting normal with me again.
"I'm sorry I can't I promised the girls we would hang out tonight" I say feeling so bad about lying to him. It's his birthday and we have to all pretend like we forgot to be able to surprise him. When I say that his face drops.
"Oh okay well have fun love" he says. I smile at him and give him a quick kiss on the cheek before bounding off to my dorm to get myself ready and make sure the girls are getting ready too.

Sirius POV
I freeze when she presses her lips to my cheek. She's gone in half a second but I'm still there frozen. I can't believe I ever tried to give her up.
I know something's going on. It seems unlikely that all of my friends would forget my birthday. Especially sense they've always made such a big deal about it to make up for the awful ones I had with my family. I know they probably have something planned but part of me is worried that they actually forgot. Especially Elly I don't know what I would do if she forgot. She has always made the biggest deal about them ever since first year. That year she set off fireworks in the great hall and announced that it was her best friends birthday. It was the first time she called me that and it meant a lot considering how we started out with her hating me. And every year since then she has worked to make it even more special than the year before.

Elena POV
"Okay Elly you look great come on you can stop freaking out now" Marlene says pulling me out from in front of the mirror.
"Really because this night needs to be perfect for him I can't let anything go wrong" I say reaching to play with my hair nervously. Lily smacks my hand away.
"No messing with that it took me an hour" she says and I lower my hand. "Really honey you look great and I'm sure everything will go good just come on we need to get there before him okay" she says gently pulling me towards the door.
"Hold on I need to grab something first" I say and run over to my bedside table. I pick up a little box with a bow and run back over to them. "Now I'm ready lets go" I say.
"I still can't believe that's your present to him. He's going to absolutely freak out" Marlene says laughing.
"Yeah that's a girlfriend level gift" Alice says. I roll my eyes. Yeah it's a little big but I've been planning it for years. It's the perfect present for him and he deserves it. When I don't say anything to that the girls take that as a confirmation and start freaking out.
"I rolled my eyes that means you're wrong, he's my best friend okay" I say as I open the door to the ROR.
"Hey Elly that hurts" James says.
