I'm supposed to be studying with Remus today and I can't stop thinking about what Ollie said. I don't believe it but that doesn't mean it hasn't been making my mind go crazy since he said it. As much as I deny it the more I think about it the more I realize just how much Remus' girl trouble could have been about me. And then I start thinking about the way I feel about him and then the way I feel about the other boys and I just get confused. So I try not to think about it like that works.
"Hey Elly" Lily says for the third time snapping me out of my thoughts. "What were you just thinking about" she says grinning.
"Umm nothing I have to go meet Remus in the library now" I say stuffing my books into my bag.
"Have fun with Prince Charming" Lily says in a knowing voice. I sit back down.
"Ollie told you about our conversation" I say although I already know the answer "I need to talk to him about twin confidentiality" I say more to myself than to her.
"Don't blame him I brought it up, so you and Remus" she asks.
"Nope nope nope I'm not doing this again I'm gonna be late to meet-"
"The love of your life" she says.
"Who's the love of your life" Sirius says coming up behind us smiling.
"No I'm leaving you better keep your lips zipped Evans" I say turning my back on them and walking out of the common room. I rush to the library knowing I'm already late. I run in getting a glare from Madam Pince. I sit down in front of Remus throwing my bag on my table. He grins at me making my stomach flip a little. I look down and start pulling stuff out of my bag quickly avoiding eye contact he grabs my hand as I'm about to put it back in my bag. I look up and he sends me a bewildered look.
"Hi" he says almost like a question.
"Hi sorry I'm late Lily wouldn't stop talking" I say in a rush looking down again and getting more stuff out. He grabs my arm again and this time he looks concerned.
"What's wrong with you why are you acting weird" he says.
"Umm I'm not acting weird I'm acting fast" I say trying to play it off.
"You've barely looked at me since you walked in" he says so I force myself to look at him and he smiles making my stomach flip yet again and so I look down.
"Stop smiling at me please" I say quietly.
"Why what's going on" he says just as quiet.
"Nothing Ollie just said something and I'm a little confused right now and you smiling at me doesn't exactly help" I say looking up to meet his eyes again and he smiles when I do. "Godric seriously stop you are killing me" I say letting my head fall into my hands.
"I'm sorry I can't help it I've never been asked not to smile at you before its harder than it looks" he says making my heart flutter.
"Okay maybe don't talk either" I say from my hands.
"A silent serious study date" he asks laughing. I look up at him really quickly and his eyes are wide. "Umm----"
"Date" I questioned with a teasing smile glad I'm not the only one flustered.
"That's not what I meant I just don't know other words" he says I put a hand up.
"It's okay I don't mind" I say smiling.
"Don't mind it being a date or don't mind me accidently calling it one" he says smiling back. I look down. That smile.
"I don't know" I say "don't you have a crush on someone else I'm sure she would mind" I say remembering my senses.
