"Okay Lily should I wear a dress or a skirt to the party" I ask her as she lays on our bed in the guest room. Mrs. Potter offered to transfigure another bed but we told her we didn't mind sharing we've done it countless times over the years.

"Lets go with skirt you don't want to be too uncomfortable to dance and we both know all your dresses are too tight for that" Lily says while tapping her quill on the side of her ink well. She convinced her parents to letter her finish out the break here. We were both over the moon to have more time together. The boys were slightly annoyed to have to share me but they get along with Lily pretty well so they didn't mind too much.

"You're right I just can't wait it's gonna be so fun" I say practically bouncing.

"It never fails to amaze me how much you love parties" she says and it looks likes she's gonna continue talking but there's a knock at the door.

"Come in Remus" I shout. He comes in and sits on the bed by Lily.

"How'd you know it was me" he asked looking over to see what Lily was writing but she wiggled the quill in his face to get him to back off.

"Well with the adults out of the house you are the only one civilized enough to knock" I say while trying to find the perfect shirt to go with the skirt I'm wearing to the party.

"Just not civilized enough to mind my privacy" Lily says referring to his nosiness about her writing. It was just homework so I know she was only messing with him.

"Well anyway the boys are requesting your presence El Lily you can come but you don't have too" Remus says while getting up. I walk over to Lily and give her a quick kiss on the head.

"I'll go see what these idiots want you can keep working I'll come get you for lunch if you're not down by then" I say to Lily and then loop arms with Remus and let him lead me to where the boys are.

"Why were you sent to get me" I asked.

"I volunteered and James and Sirius were too busy arguing with each other to put up much of a fight" he says laughing.

"Well that gives us a minute to talk" I say pulling him to a quick stop.

"Did you ever figure out those girl troubles Rem" I ask him making him blush.

"Well I did talk to Alice and she told me to wait until I thought the time was right, that she liked Frank for years but waited until the time was right and she knew it was meant to be because he waited too" he says looking deep in my eyes.

"That's really good advice Rem I could have never thought of that so when are you thinking in terms of timing" I ask him.

"I was thinking of waiting until the beginning of next year to see if that competition I told you about sorts itself out and if it hasn't by then I'll just have to go for it anyway" he says looking sure of his decision. That seems like a long time to wait in my opinion so much could change by then but Remus has always been known to really take time with things so it doesn't surprise me.

"Okay well I'm proud of you for coming up with a plan and I hope it works out for you even if I'm a little jealous of this mystery girl for getting the perfect guy" I say really meaning it. Remus is the perfect friend so I'm sure he will make the perfect girlfriend.

"There's no need to be jealous El" Remus says laughing like he knows something I don't but pulls me along to where the rest of the boys are.

---------------

"Elly I really don't understand why you have to take so long to get ready if you just waited we could have like three more hours together before I'm swarmed by family pinching my cheeks and saying how much I've grown" James complains pulling me closer. It's only three hours to the party and me and Lily are about to head up to get ready. We are just waiting on her to finish her round of wizards chess against Sirius. He's winning of course he is a master at that game.
