Six

"Umm El you might want to go look in the mirror" I hear Alice say as I'm stretching. My alarm just went off and I'm not quite ready to get out of bed yet but when I hear that I leap up and run to the bathroom nocking Lily out of the way as I go. She's too tired to even care though. I look in the mirror and see my skin is a very light lavender. I know who did this and I know it's meant to get back at me but I love it. I might not want it like this all the time but just until the spell wares off is fine.

"Wow it's quite beautiful isn't it" I say grinning in the mirror. Sirius is going to be so annoyed that I like it.

"Yeah it is I can't believe your so pretty you can pull off purple skin" says Marlene from next to me.

She followed me into the bathroom most likely to see my reaction.

"I can't wait to do my makeup this will look so good with a smokey eye" I said pulling my air up into a messy bun.

"Ooh pretty please let me do your make up one day that it's still on" Marlene says getting excited.

"Of course love just as long as you promise not to make me look bad" I said jokingly going over to my dresser to pull out my uniform.

I decide to wear a regular black skirt and tie today sense the Gryffindor colors would probably clash with my skin. I do have to change my makeup routine a lot but I make it work and I think it looks great. Alice gets done around the same time as me so we walk out at the same time. Her to find her boyfriend and me to find my boy friends. The moment I get down the stairs I see Sirius looking at me with a mischievous look. I smile brightly at him and he looks confused. I walk over to him and give him a hug.

"Wait your not mad at me" he asks with a frown.

"Nope I think it looks good don't you" I ask then frown when he doesn't reply. "You don't think I'm still pretty" I say making myself tear up on purpose.

"Oh no don't cry your gorgeous as always love I just was hoping for a bigger reaction" Sirius says quickly trying to get me to calm down. I turn away from him completely so I won't start laughing.

When I do I see James and I run up to him quickly and bury my face in his chest.

"Sirius doesn't think I'm pretty Prongs" I fake cry. Really I don't care I know I'm pretty my ego's not that fragile.

"Of course your pretty Elly your gorgeous, Sirius I can't believe you would say she's not pretty" James says scolding Sirius and holding me tighter.

"I never said that Oh my Merlin El stop overreacting you know I didn't say that" Sirius says pulling me from James to look at me. When I see the exasperated look on his face I burst out laughing.

"Oh I know you never said that but it was fun to make you sweat for a minute" I looked up at Sirius to see him opening his mouth "don't say it I'm warning you, gosh get your mind out of the gutter" I said giggling. I turned back around and went up to Remus. "Hi Remmy figure out your love problems yet" I said swinging my arm around him.

I saw him look at the boys who for some reason looked a little angry "No Elly not yet but you'll be the first one to know I promise" Remmy says.

"Okay well whatever you do don't let them steal you from me" I say leaning up to kiss his cheek before I'm grabbed by someone else and held close. Three guesses who. "Jealous" I say leaning up to kiss his cheek too. "You know I love you too prongs you don't have to get so jealous of your friends" I say.

"James really let go of my sister before I hex you" Ollie says coming up and glaring at James.

"But Ollie you can't control my relationships with people" I say wining like a child.

"Did you just say relationship" Ollie said smirking at me noticing my mistake.

"Merlin Ollie you know what I mean" I say blushing. Ugg why am I blushing.

"Really because you look pretty embarrassed El" Ollie says enjoying my torment. I quickly turn around and bury my face in James' chest.

"Shut up Ollie really" I said and I felt James' chest move from chuckling. "Stop it James you should be on my side" I say looking up at him.

"Whatever you say love" he says grinning down at me.

"Okay are we going to get to breakfast or what" Sirius says through gritted teeth.

"Lighten up Pads" I said pulling out of James grasp and going up to him. "What's wrong don't you know I hate it when you frown your smile is one of my favorite things to look at" I said to him quietly so the rest of the boys couldn't hear. He smiled at me at this. "And there it is now listen Siri I would really like you to carry me to the Great Hall but if your gonna be all pouty I might just ask Rem-" I was cut off by him sweeping me off my feet and into his arms.

"Really Sirius now you" I heard Ollie yell from behind us as we started walking to the Great Hall... Well they walked I was carried.

"Yup Ollie get used to it the boys just can't keep their hands off me" I yelled back to him.

"By the way I asked dad about the concert and unfortunately he has to work" I said turning towards James.

"That sucks maybe next time" he said messing up his hair even more than it already was. Once we make our way to the Great Hall I hop out of Sirius' arms.

"Hey Elly I need to talk to you please" Cissy said as I was walking with my friends to my table. She looks a little upset so I go. Once we get away from everyone I turn to her.

"What's wrong" I ask giving her a sympathetic look.

"I'm not sure what to do about Bella she is getting worse and worse it's like she's loosing her mind and I'm really worried" she said frantically running a hand through her hair.

"Hey calm down it's okay, we both know that this is about Him. The only advice I can give you is to stay out of her way with it I know she's your sister and trust me I know how hard that is but this is very dangerous stuff Cissy if you try to get in the middle of it you could make it so much worse for her or for yourself. I know you are all headed down a really dark road and I wish I could help you all see the light but even if I could show you at this point I don't think it would matter" I said "You are in too deep at this point and your families aren't helping that, I can't have any part in any of that but I'm your friend forever all of you so if you need someone to talk to or forget about everything I'm your girl I promise I just can't put everyone else I love in danger by being associated with all of that plus it's so wrong and evil. Just know I love you and whatever craziness is happening so does your sister she cares about that monster but deep down she cares about you more trust me" I finished.

"Thank you Elly I wish things were different" she says quietly before walking off quickly. I walked back to my friends and sat down between my brother and Remus. I immediately bury my face in my brothers chest.

"What's wrong El are you okay" he says engulfing me in his arms.

"No everything is going so wrong in the world and somehow my friends are trapped in the middle of it" I said almost crying. I feel Remus begin to rub my hair from behind me which is something he's done my entire life when I'm upset.

"Hey El it's okay think about what all is going right you have so many good friends that are there for you, you have our family, you have two things to look forward to in the next week, and you have me you always will" he said in my ear. I calm down enough to start eating my breakfast. He's right not everything is bad.
