It's pretty clear to her that everyone was staring at her wrists. The ropes her mother used on her were so tight, it left hideous shades of blue and purple.
She needs to find some kind of remedy... but she thinks all other therapy for the emotional hurt is useless when there's nothing left for her to pour it all on.
