He didn't even know why he stuck around those guys.
It's not as if hosting was his specialty.
Yet again, he was pretty popular with the ladies. Even if he didn't entertain them like all the other guys in the Host Club did.
Another reason was because they needed a manager. Someone who would keep things intact. Someone who would prevent their club from getting bankrupt.
If it wasn't for Kyouya's intelligence, the club never would have gained profit. And Kyouya was the mastermind behind half of their success.
While Tamaki does most of the planning and brings in seventy percent of the customers, the Host Club wouldn't be able to handle the themes and romantic gestures he came up with if Kyouya didn't muster up plans to gain more cash.
Nonetheless, the Host Club is thankful.
"That was exhausting." Haruhi, the only girl in the group, sighs and sits down on the chair ... in a very unlady-like manner.
The Host Club was up and running today. Busier than usual, actually.
Kyouya smirks (basically the only true facial expression he could ever do), "Do you want another way to pay off your debt then?"
"Knowing you? No thanks." she answers as she looks at Kyouya with a stoic expression.
This causes Kyouya's smirk to grow even wider before turning back to write whatever it is in that black notebook of his.
Though most of the Host Club was all tired out, it looked like Tamaki's energy just released a minimum of ten percent through all that hosting. He's actually very hyper than usual, pestering and badgering Haruhi to become more feminine.
Tamaki had that sort of radiance where his hyperactivity rubs off on everyone; it wasn't very effective on Haruhi. His excessive waste of energy just drained all of hers.
"Don't you get it, boss?" one of the twins started.
"She doesn't want to get involved with whatever you're planning." the other twin continued with a shrug.
This lures Tamaki to retreat to his emo corner which would be preferably called as the 'Tamaki Corner'.
"On the contrary, we'd love to see you wearing a dress, Haruhi." both twins stated, placing a hand on either side of Haruhi's shoulders.
Haruhi, as usual, is unaffected. Tamaki is the one who reacts for her anyway.
Kyouya simply lets his eyes flicker and watch each and every single one of his mates interact with one another. Aside from Honey who was eating cake and Mori who barely even talks.
"Well, gentlemen," he begins and pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "And Haruhi," he adds, giving the girl a nod of acknowledgement. "I must take my leave; I have other things to do." he says with a small bow.
He doesn't wait for them to respond, he simply walks out of the room.
His footsteps lead him slowly across the hallways, his silhouette underneath the setting sun trailing not too far behind and arrives at the foot of the library.
Kyouya doesn't do this very often. He doesn't even know what he's doing there. Most of the students of Ouran are home anyway. And sometimes, he needs some time for himself without any noises, cakes, shady twins and emo corners to worry about.
He appreciated the guys and the new addition to the Host Club, Haruhi, but he forgot what it was like to be alone without any sort of chaos to worry about.
And enjoying his alone time is exactly what he does as he walks through the library and speculates various book spines.
Then something caught his eyes at the far corner; a blue notebook.
Judging by the intricate designs on the front cover, he smirks triumphantly as the owner's profile of said notebook flashes in his mind.
Skipping how many pages of the journal, he settles on the most recent one.
'Call me aloof but I see nothing wrong with ignoring people who won't do much in your life.'
apparently, i suck at portraying kyouya's character.
