Nodoka excused herself to the bathroom a few moments ago, leaving her books and notebooks closed from possible intruders. What she didn't expect was when she came back, it was wide open.
Deep breaths, she tells herself.
Stiffly sitting down on the sturdy wooden chair, she inspected the newly found material in between the pages.
"You're the infamous Nodoka Kitagawa who walks around with a blue journal in hand. Who wouldn't want to sneak a glance?"
Then, her mind went blank.
Not only did he manage to grab a hold of her blue notebook in the library on that one faithful day but he managed to haunt her all the way to class. Blinking several times, she wondered if this was true. That she didn't mindlessly scribble one of his notes to her sometime around the day.
She frantically looks around the room, silently praying that not anyone will notice her head switching from left to right and at the same time praying that he's not in the same class as her.
But if he was, then the whole thing would finally make sense. How he knew about the blue notebook, how he knew about the bruises, how he knew about her being friend-less. No senpai could figure out what she was doing inside the classroom walls, unless they had some spy or something.
Now that's just plain creepy.
When lunch time came around, Nodoka rushed over to Haruhi.
"Haruhi?"
"Yes?" said girl looked up at Nodoka with big caramel eyes alight with curiosity.
"Has anyone been around my table?"
"When?"
"When I excused myself to the bathroom." Nodoka was evidently chewing on her bottom lip.
"I haven't seen anyone, I'm sorry. I was too busy paying attention to the teacher."
"Ah... it's okay. Of course you'd been listening."
"Why are you asking anyways? Have you lost something?"
Nodoka sways her head from side to side as an indication of the word 'no'. She debates whether or not she should tell Haruhi about the note she found in between the pages of her book.
She chooses to leave it at that and politely agrees to Haruhi's request of eating lunch with her.
It isn't until Nodoka finds another conspicuous note on the table she and Haruhi decide to share.
"You can think what you want to think."
Stalker, that is all she can ever think of.
But, really? Where are all these notes coming from?
She knows it's from him but how can each note manage to follow her wherever she goes?
It's beginning to make her feel weird but a little flattered nonetheless.
"Getting notes from him already, I see." Haruhi remarks as she takes a bite of her bento.
"Apparently," Nodoka says, unsure of how to react.
"You find it creepy?"
No.
She just finds it weird.
And how weird it is that she doesn't find it creepy.
"I'm used to it." by then, a fond smile grows on Nodoka's lips as she claims her chopsticks and taking a bite of her own lunch.
Haruhi can't help but smile at the sight.
Nodoka doesn't have a clue of what she is doing so far.
The brunette hopes that Nodoka would follow her daily school routine, rounding her usual spots and seeing the little notes she and Eloise have put up.
Since they were the most wonderful choice of helping Kyouya in his... endeavors, they had to do their best. It's not just for Kyouya anyway but for Nodoka as well. She just hopes that everything will go as planned.
"Nodoka deserves a little happiness once in a while."
"Aww, he cares."
"Yes, yes she does, Kyouya-senpai."
the last bit is basically haruhi, eloise and kyouya talking to one another about the plan. it's note a note, ok?? and guuuuysss, 1 MORE CHAPTER LEFT. goodness gracious.
