He's so disappointed. With her. With everyone. With himself.
He's so disappointed with her because she keeps taunting him. She does all these wonderful things that makes her even more interesting and the more she gets interesting, the more she draws him in.
He's so disappointed with everyone because they all ignore her. If they actually talked to her and made an effort to become her friend then maybe he wouldn't be in this situation, actually trying to get something out of her because he feels as if they were one and the same.
He's so disappointed with himself because he actually got his hopes up. He left all of his feelings out in the open, exposed to someone like her. A cruel player of the game. And he doesn't even know why he's so caught up in her chains when all she ever did was let people down that it makes him really furious.
Because this is the closest he's got to her and he's possibly the only person to think of it that way but look at what's happened.
He lost.
He's lost.
The world and everything in it was usually his.
Not today.
