"So that's where the noises came from." Ranka, the head of the Fujioka household, pondered.
He's been hearing noises for quite a while now. The screaming, the crying, the breaking - everything. And it all came from the Kitagawa's apartment.
"Why didn't you tell anyone about this?" Haruhi asked, a concerned look shimmering from her caramel brown eyes.
"Why should I?" she sniffled, eyes downcast. "She's my mom."
The Fujiokas could only stare at her in shock and pity.
They came to her rescue when they've heard crying and numerous thuds erupt from their part of the apartment complex. They just swooped in and had her mother calm down. As much as they wanted to take further action, they couldn't. And all because of Nodoka's pleading.
Her love and patience for her mother was astounding.
Haruhi has seen her only a few times in her life. But whenever she did, she can't help but inwardly gush about her features.
Her hair was a pretty auburn color, her eyes a beautiful shade of royal purple and her porcelain skin looked soft to the touch.
Now? Her skin served as a white canvas for different shades of black, blue and purple.
Her face was worse.
Having a swollen black eye, a deep cut near her eyebrow and dried blood smeared at the side of her lip.
"You can't tell anyone," she spoke, voice meek and fragile. "please."
"Darling, this isn't right." said Ranka.
"Nothing was ever right in my life but please," she was crying again. "don't take my mom away from me. She's all I have left and I promised that I'll make her a better person."
Haruhi thinks she's never seen a woman be so beautiful. Outside and on the inside.
Ranka was on the verge of protesting when Haruhi stepped in, "tell us when there's something wrong, okay? We won't tell anyone."
"Thank you."
"We've got your back. And if she's ever raging, you're free to stay with us."
Haruhi meant her words, and Nodoka felt that.
AGAIN if you're ever experiencing anything such as this, tell someone. just please. it's NOT right. DON'T be a nodoka. though i did that for the sake of her character but in reality, NO. just NO. tell someone, okie? SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP.
anyway, the facts you asked for is up. it's in my profile, if you're ever interested. ^^
