Adrien finds out he's past.
The blonde back up, moving out of her way. "Why am I here?"
The woman tilted her head down, shutting her eyes. "You're dead, Adrien."
Nathaniel might want to think twice before touching Marinette.
"You touch her and I'll kill you if I make it out alive," Adrien heard himself say.
Emilie relieves her soul for Adrien.
Adrien felt his body being lifted, yet his feet were still stuck to the floor.
He clenched hie eyes shut, denying any tears from falling. He heard the final faintness of his mother's voice echo through his head.
"Until we see each other again, mon chéri. ."
Marinette has nothing to fear.
Adrien began crying, burying his face into her neck. "I would never leave you, Marinette. ."
The bluenette couldn't believe her mind. Illusion or not, seeing him alive and conscious was the best thing she could get.
They lied like that until there arms burned from holding onto the other so tightly and for so long.
"And that's a promise. . ."

Marinette tapped the blonde awake. "Adrien."
Adrien slowly opened his eyes, blinking back at the bright ceiling lights. He sat up, scooting back a bit. "Ye-Yeah?"
He turned his head to see a nurse holding a clipboard, and a doctor right next to her. They both looked suspicious from how awkwardly they were standing, but Adrien guessed that they were like that because they were staring at him sleeping for some time.
Marinette held his arm, glancing at the doctor. "They have some good news to tell you."
Adrien looked back at the pair of highly education people, giving them a single nod.
"We do, indeed, have good news for you, Monsieur Agreste. It is involuntarily astonishing that you're alive right now. A true blessing, if I have to say so myself. We've managed to track what had killed you previously, and it seems like you were injected with a dangerous amount of anesthetic drug. The amount you conceived was more than enough to take out living being in the matter of seconds, yet, we found you still somewhat conscious when you arrived here," the doctor informed.
Adrien nodded, crossing his arms. "I recall so, yes."
The doctor continued. "Besides all of that, we found that you had previously fractured multiple ribs, and were admitted to a hospital not too far from this one. Although, you seem completely healed."
Adrien touched his upper chest, then gazed at his upper arm. The cut was missing too. It was just a small dent in his skin.
He touched the spot, then glanced at Marinette. She nodded, smiling at him fondly.
"Okay. . . so, what's happening today?" The blonde asked, moving Marinette's grasp from his arms to hold her hand. "Do I have to stay any longer?"
The doctor shook his head, going slightly pale. "Not at all. We shall dispatch you today. A given order from your father. It wasn't like you needed to stay in this place any longer, anyway."
