Friends

A week had passed since that talk with Russ. His texts are still consistent. Consistent din yung di ko pag reply. Just kidding. I reply to some of his texts, pag may sense.

"So who's your bet?" Ari asked as we made our way to the cafeteria. She's holding onto my flannel shirt that's buckled on my waist. Gagamitin ko yan mamaya pag PE time na.

Navy blue joggers paired with a plain white shirt ang type B uniform namin, iyon ang suot namin ngayon.

Wednesday is Physical Education day so ang daming pawisan na naman doon.

Every Wednesday, all year level is on their type B uniform, pati mga college.

I roamed my eyes around the campus. North Foretrieth University is a private and the biggest university here in Forethrieth. From pre-school to college din kasi offer nila so they really need to build a big campus.

"Saan?" I asked Ari.

She grabbed my elbow. "Between Lisle and kuya Zeke!"

Speaking of that two.

I dont really know their schedules so I don't know if unplanned ba' yong alternate na pag sulpot. I doubt if it's planned though, they dont seem to know each other.

"Does it matter?" I asked her back.

"Eh who you like more nga?" Pagpupumilit niya.

"Di ko yan iniisip." To be honest. I don't compare them. Magkaiba naman kasi sila.

"As a person lang!" Pamimilit niya lalo, she's now tugging my shirt.

I weighed my thoughts. Well, in general, and as a person, I like Russ more. We can relate to each other. We almost share the same sentiments. His father scolds him too for being an average student.

Then Lisle and I have almost the same personality. Kaya siguro nakakainis siya kasi binabara niya ko when I used to be the one who does that. The rest, magkaiba na kami.

"Si Russ, I mean, he's kind so." Then I shrugged.

Ngumiwi siya. Tila hindi nagustuhsn ang sagot ko. "He is. He's not katulad mo. Why you didn't pili Lisle?"

I just rolled my eyes at her and ignored her question. Like what we always do, we went straight to order before looking for a table. We're always lucky enough na di kami nauubusan ng table. But I guess today's not a lucky day. Anak ng pusa naman!

"O my M to the G!" Ari sighed dramatically. "Where will we kain? Sa garden? Sa hallway? Sa room? OMG sa toilet?" Pag iinarte niya.

Sa hallway, we'd look like pulubi. Sa room, bawal kumain. And lalong hindi pwede sa toilet. Bakit kasama yon sa choice niya?

"Ang oa mo sapakin na kita." Iritang sabi ko. "Let's eat sa garden na lang." That's the best choice we have, anyway, mas malapit pa.

She then smirked at me. "The garden in the middle of senior high school and engineering building? You ha! Who you want to kita?"

I rolled my eyes at her. "Dumb. Would you rather eat in the toilet? Sabihin mo lang, iiwan kita don."

"I'll never get used to your attitude talaga. Hmp!" Then she rolled her eyes and left me. Sinundan ko na lang. Mangaasar tapos siya pikon. Mga tao nga naman ngayon.
