Nang sumunod na linggo ay naging abala ako sa maraming bagay. VDC's skyscraper project with WAR Inc already launched its groundbreaking ceremony. The head of each department is present, as well as the employees under them. I'm one of those employees who are present even if I don't hold the highest position in my department. 

Puring puri ang arkitekto ng proyektong iyon. The approved design was indeed modern and unique. However, as an engineer, I know its not going to be an easy job. I had projects that are more complex but never this intricate. But I trust my colleagues, I trust my dad. I know he wouldn't approve something that isn't feasible. Hindi naman siya yung tipo ng tao na mag i-invest para sa wala.

"Engineer!" tawag ng head engineer ng proyektong ito.

"Engr. Hernandez," bati ko pabalik. Twyle took the seat beside me and slouched.

"Mag isa ka..." puna niya. Ngiting ngiti iyon na akala mo'y walang hawak na malaking proyekto.

I chuckled a little. "Obviously." I glanced at him again and smiled. 

He's always this warm and calm when he's not at work. Noong una ko siyang makita ay kunot ang noo niya sa isang katrabaho at tila handa ng pagalitan ito. At first, I thought he was a strict boss. But then Russ and I saw him once in a parking lot and he actually greeted me enthusiastically. At ngayon, pangiti ngiti lamang ito sa harapan ko. Ibang iba sa mistulang leon na nasaksihan ko. 

"So... what brought you here?" I asked. Hindi naman sa ayaw ko siyang narito ngunit unang beses ata ito na nilapitan niya ako para kausapin na hindi tungkol sa trabaho.

Luminga linga muna ito bago tuluyang pumirmi ang tingin sa akin. "Saw you alone. Wala kang friends, ghorl?" He joked.

"I didn't know you were funny," I commented, still laughing out loud.

He shrugged and smirked. "You don't talk to me... kaya hindi mo talaga alam."

"No offense, Engr, but you scared me the first time I saw you."

"As always," he said as if he gets that first impression a lot. "I heard you're from Caldiverg?"

"Yeah, graduated there, actually. Engr. Collins, if you know him, is a block mate of mine back then. We also worked in the same company."

Nanlaki ang mata niya nang marinig iyon. Napaayos pa nga siya ng pagkaka-upo. "Si Denver? Lokong yon, imported din pala. Sabi niya samin galing siyang probinsya," natatawang kwento niya. Yeah, that's more like Denver. "Oo nga pala, wala siya dito? Invited naman lahat ng taga VDC diba?"

Luminga linga ako. "Wala rin si Engr. Kaleb kaya baka nasa site pa sila?"

"Ako ba kamo ang hinahanap niyo?" Singit ng isang nakakairitang boses na pamilyar sa akin. "Wrai, alam ko namang miss mo ko." Pabiro niya akong inakbayan. "Ayos ah, nakaabot pa ko. May pagkain pa ba?" Lumibot ang mata ni Denver sa mga bisita at empleyado ng VDC. Inalis niya ang pagkakaakbay sa akin at marahan akong siniko. "Huy, may chismis ako mamaya. Lagot ka, tanga."
