Ex-Girlfriend

"Bakit mo ba kailangang gawin 'yon? Nakita mo ba yung itsura niya tuwing iniiwasan mo siya? Nung nagmakaawa siya tapos ikaw parang pakialam? Wraia, kahit hindi ako si Lisle ramdam ko yung sakit!" Ari shouted.

Yes, it's one of those days na hindi conyo si bruha. And yes, nag-aaway kami ngayon. Today's Saturday, first day of our semestral break.

"I told you I had to!" Mangiyak ngiyak na sabi ko.

"Your reasons are seriously fucked up." She said as if she's giving up and left my room.

It's been 3 days since that 'date' and hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa nakikita si Lisle. I won't lie but I suddenly missed him. The way his words soothed me. The way he made me feel. I have never felt to be appreciated that way. I mean, Ari has done way beyond what he did pero iba si Lisle, iba si Ari. Wala pang 2 months since we first met but I'm attached already.

"Where are we going to punta?" Ari asked as I dragged her to the engineering building.

Papunta na sana kami sa cafeteria nang maisipan kong puntahan si Lisle. Hindi naman masama kung sasabay kami ni Ari sa kanila na maglunch diba? We're friends, anyway.

"Text Eula, please. Can you ask her where they are? I pleaded. She looked confused but she still texted Eula without follow-up questions.

After a few seconds, she looked up from her phone. "They're on their way sa cafeteria." I nodded and dragged her again.

"Hey!" Raven greeted. Nakasalubong namin sila Raven. I looked for Lisle behind them pero wala.

"Asan si Lisle?" I asked. Nagkatinginan silang tatlo. I looked at Fence pero umiwas lang siya ng tingin at sumipol. Naningkit ang mata ko. Something's not right.

"Ah, ano. Nasa cafeteria?" Raven answered and scratched his nape. Bakit iniwan ni Lisle sila Raven?

"Why you're not sigurado?" Nakapameywang na tanong ni Ari.

"Sure ako!" Raven said.

"Edi let's go." Ari made her way to the canteen. Agad namin siyang sinundan.

Pagkapasok namin sa cafeteria kinalabit ako ni Raven. "Ah ano, nandiyan si Lisle kaso ano-" but he was too late. I saw Lisle already.

Ari gasped. "Who's that?" Agad na tanong niya.

Raven scratched his nape. "Ano... uhm... ex niya? " May pag aalinlangang sabi niya sabay tingin sakin.

I harshly wiped my tears. Agad kong hinila si Raven palabas. "Please, don't tell him I was here. Parang awa, Raven. Salamat." I said as I turned my back on them. Bwisit na mga luha 'to. Bakit kayo tumutulo? Gripo ba kayo, ha? Damn it.

"Teka, Wraia!" Raven called me but I didn't dare look back.

"Wraia! Babe, wait!" Habol sakin ni Ari.

My feet brought me sa likod ng building namin. Agad akong sumalampak sa semento at umiyak. "Wraia..." Ari called me.

"Ari, ang sakit." I said as I hit my chest. "Sabi ko na, eh. Sabi ko na! Ang tanga tanga ko! Ang bobo bobo!" Ari tried to stop me from hitting my head.

"Wraia... stop na please." Her voice broke. I know she's hurting, too.

"I don't even know why I'm crying, damn it! Hindi naman kami, hindi naman niya 'ko gusto! Wala naman siyang ginawa! Wala naman siyang sinabi!" I cried more. The lightning flashed and the thunder rumbled, covering my loud cries.
