The two girls walked in silence next to each other. Erin's posture was tense, but that wasn't the case for Lily. They hadn't tied her up; most likely assuming that she wouldn't fight back from past experience. But they had no idea.

Lily continued walking for what she assumed had been ten minutes, before she stopped in her tracks. Erin walked a couple more steps before noticing, then turned and glared at her. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Waiting for an answer to my earlier question." Lily really had been curious as to what had convinced her to turn against the whole pack.

"What are you talking about?" Erin spat. The dumb slut thought that she was in control of the situation; little did the bitch know that she was seconds away from killing the "future Luna."

"Why you turned into a traitor. Seriously, do you have me that much that you just want me gone? Or were you promised the Luna role if Nikolas succeeds? Because if that's the case, I really hate to break it to you, but he lied to you. He's using you, just like he's going to use me. He's gonna make me produce an heir and then either make me his Luna, since I'm the rightful one anyway, or kill me. I haven't figured that last part out yet."

Erin laughed. She laughed and laughed. Lily really had been more stupid than she had originally thought. She thought she had it all figured out, but she couldn't have been more wrong! If only she had known that the mastermind behind her involvement was a higher rank. "Oh, you really have no idea. You got it all wrong. I was simply following orders."

Orders?

"Whose orders?" Lily asked, though she had an idea.

"You think that I betrayed my pack? My Alpha? I would never do such a thing. It simply worked to my advantage that he ordered me to make friends with the enemy." Weston did this?! Why?! Lily made her thoughts known, but as Erin answered her, she realized she had already known, "you're too weak to be Luna. A human could never run a pack as well as a werewolf can.

"It made sense, really. Befriend the enemy, learn his plan, kill you, frame him, and then defeat him. No one would ever know what we were up to and I would become Luna in your place."

Lily saw red as she struggled to calm herself down. If you was going to antagonize Erin and cause her to fight, she was going to need to be levelheaded, "there's a couple problems with your plan. One: you're not going to kill me. And two: Jackson would never in a million years take you as Luna."

Erin growled and ran towards Lily, going right for her weak leg. But Lily spun out of the way, dodging the attack. As Erin paced back towards her, Lily readied herself. This was what she had been practicing for. Before Erin even got the chance, Lily punched her in attempt to at least throw her off guard. Instead it just seemed to make her more angry.

Erin knocked Lily onto her back and she felt the air get knocked out of her lungs. As she recuperated, Erin repeatedly punched her. Eventually, Lily found the strength to push Erin off of her and stand back up. She tried remembering all the weak points that Ty had taught her, but she was just seeing red.

Lily was angry because she was just so tired of fighting for her life, of being the weak one because she was a little bit different. She was angry because she had everything taken away from her and now there were people trying to take her away from the one good thing in her life. She was angry because she never deserved it. She deserved to be happy and to love and care for people who loved and cared for her. She deserved to live her life the way she wanted to. And because there were people who took that away and were still trying to take that away, she was furious.

Lily didn't know what had happened but the next thing she knew, she was growling at Erin who had watched Lily approach her with fear in her eyes. She put Erin in a chokehold, but Erin's voice stopped her before she could do anything else. "Please," she begged.

Lily chuckled, "who's the weak one now?" She snapped Erin's neck with more strength than she's ever had before. Lily could feel something changing in her, her whole body in pain as it felt like every bone was reforming. But before the process could complete itself, Lily felt something like claws rip into her back. The force of which made her fall to the ground.

Footsteps were heard as she writhed on the ground in pain from both her back and her shifting. When she looked up, Weston was in front of her. She didn't want to show him any sign of weakness, but she couldn't force her body to get up from the ground. However that didn't stop her from trying.

Weston paced in front of her for a minute before he turned to her saying, "you've thrown a wrench in my plans for the last time." Lily just glared at him when he spoke, she yelled in pain as her body continued shifting.

"Stop shifting," Weston said. There was a power behind his voice that compelled something in Lily to do exactly what he had told her, but the pain didn't stop. It was as if her bones were stuck in the process and the failure to shift fully wasn't an option. Lily breathed heavily in attempt to keep Weston from knowing exactly how much pain she was in. "Do you know what happens to wolves who are forced to stop mid-shift?"

Jacks, Lily reached out through the mindlink, I'm in trouble.

What's going on?! He asked her trying to hide his panic, but it didn't work. She could feel it through their bond.

It's your dad, please hurry, she begged him then blocked him from her head. She knew he could feel some of her pain but she didn't need him in her head as well.

Weston chuckled from in front her as she writhed in pain on the ground, her whole body burned in pain from the broken bones trying to reform.  "He'll never make it in time. Wolves stuck mid-shift don't last very long. Their body grows weak faster that normal from the overexertion. Soon enough you'll pass out from all the pain and your body will shutdown and you'll die. All because you're not strong enough to handle it."

Another growl escaped her as she forced herself to speak through the pain, "I... am not... weak."

"Sh, sh, sh. You don't want to tire yourself out more, it'll only make things worse."

Jacks? She called out to him again.

Almost there, he told me.

I love you.

"My son will be better off without you." Weston said.

The last thing Lily saw before she passed out was a flash of golden brown knocking Weston to the ground.
