I admit that I made a lot of mistakes,
Mistakes that never leave my mind
And haunt me,
But I'm human.
We all make mistakes,
It's life, it happens.
But the greatest mistake I ever made
Was you.
Putting my faith in you,
Putting my trust in you
But most importantly,
Trusting you with my heart;
My most prized possession,
The key to my true self.
You knew of my past
And the pain I went through,
The heartache and heartbreak I experienced.
You made a promise;
To never hurt me or end up like those in the past.
Should've known your words and promises meant absolutely nothing.
Your words emotionless and empty,
Just like I am right now.
So thank you....
