Friday, 18th of August.Sakura was patiently waiting on the Hokage for an answer. Last night after her dinner with Sasuke, she ran home exited and her mind was all over the place. She couldn't find sleep for hours but somehow she had managed to calm down and rest a little bit.
She sadly couldn't remember her dreams but she knew that they had been good, very good. She had been woken up this morning by a knock on her door. It was Shikamaru who was sent by the Hokage. He had asked her to come with him and so she did.
She looked around the room reminiscing of all the times she had came in here as child with Kakashi and her team mates by her side. Things had changed a lot since then. Today her sensei was the one sitting at the desk and Naruto was training to sit after him. She couldn't feel more proud of her friend. They all had came a long way but Naruto was the one who really had transformed. She could still remember the times when he would complain about the missions that they were getting. She laughed quietly to herself. Today he was known as the most powerful Shinobi alive, Naruto the boy who couldn't even make a simple clone when he was 11 years old. Yes, things really changed.
"So Sakura, I finally got a reply from Lord Kazekage like I told you yesterday. He wants you and Ino to be there for the official opening of the clinic. He organised a ceremony in your honour. They expect you to leave today. You and Ino will be accompanied by a special Anbu team selected by me. I am sorry for the short notice but I heard that you were busy yesterday."
He smiled at her under his mask and she didn't know exactly what he meant by that.
"Thank you Kakashi-sensei. I will get ready immediately."
As she turned around, the door of the office opened on an angry Sasuke. He barged into the office followed closely by an out of breath Shikamaru.
"Excuse-me, Hokage-sama I told him that you were busy but he came in anyway."
"It's fine Shikamaru. Sasuke, what can I do for you?"
She was staring at him but he barely looked at her. She felt something in the pit of her stomach. Did something happen?
"Why didn't you tell me?" her sensei seemed dumbfounded. "We are the ones who found it. We need to be told when things are discovered."
"You didn't tell me about the experiments you found on that island and you come to me demanding to be told everything?"
"I asked Sakura first about them, knowing that she was the only one who could give us a clear answer. The scroll is a different story, we found it and it could be related to the mission you sent me away for."
Sakura approached Sasuke and put her hand on his shoulder. Without looking at her, he moved away.
"Kakashi-sensei, I think that what Sasuke is trying to say is that he has been waiting for weeks to get an answer from the deciphering team. His mission is on hold because of it."
"That's exactly what I said."
"Yes but you said it aggressively, I said it politely. You're welcome."
She heard him sigh. Kakashi looked at the two of them confused before raising his eyebrows.
"Well, the scroll speaks about the meteor. It describes the creation of the dimension and how Kaguya discovered it to create a small army. She hid the meteor underground until it couldn't be found once her army was destroyed."
"So it is safe to assume that someone found it."
"Yes, the scroll speaks about an earthquake so violent that it created the hills surrounding the place. The meteor was brought up to the surface this way. The last thing written in the scroll is: this dimension is not safe anymore. That was probably shortly before Kaguya was sealed by her two sons."
