Eating out and cooking at home are both suitable choices for every individual. There are advantages and disadvantages to both options. In my point of view, I prefer to cook at home. Eating at home is cheaper, healthier, more convenient, and more fun.
First of all, eating at restaurants is much more expensive than preparing food at home. Even in a normal restaurant, it would be costly compared to cooking at home. I could make the same food by buying fresh ingredients and cook it at home, spending less money.
Secondly, eating at home is healthier. As far as I'm concerned, fast foods, restaurants, and similar places do not offer healthy food. Their food contains high amounts of fat and oil, which is not proper if you aim to be healthy and in shape. By eating fresh food at home, I will not only stay healthy but also enhance my self-confidence.
Lastly, eating at home is more convenient. When I cook at home, I can cook what I like and have fun doing so. After that, I can have my meal while I'm watching television rather than driving downtown in heavy traffic. Moreover, finding a parking place is a headache for car owners, as it takes a long time to secure a parking space nearby. Furthermore, I can make use of the time going to and from the restaurant for other things, like reading a good book or relax a bit.
Where to eat is a common dilemma each person faces in daily life. People have different preferences. Some people say that eating out is more convenient because they probably do not have sufficient time to cook at home, or because they are so passionate about fast foods and find them delicious, although aware of the hazards. In my opinion, eating at home is a better choice.
* As you can see, FCE doesn't require much fancy vocabulary to pass, you just have to make your points clear and coherent. If you focus on vocabulary before doing that, you will be screwed. Same with all the other Cambridge tests. Unfortunately, Taiwan's education in English is entirely vocabulary-based.
* Cambridge won't require your essays to have a certain - or even biased - viewpoint, it's mostly up to your opinions in your essays. You can write the most controversial essay ever known to mankind, and the examiners will still only rate your essay based on grammar, vocabulary, coherence etc., nothing else.
But my mom will force viewpoints on mine, hence this essay.
