Chapter 25- Ogress vs Elf

Angel's POV

The battles started off with an interesting kick, some evenly matched while others were easily overpowered. This is to be expected, there was no restriction apart from the age to join this tournament. Anyone could join even omegas as long as you are from a pack, clan, sleuth and so on. Though rogues are not allowed and any supernatural being under that title or one similar meaning to that.

There is actually a barrier around the land that only invitees can enter. There are similar barriers around pack lands like this, placed by the Moon Goddess and her siblings to safe keep our homes while it's barren or with small amount of members there.

Now I would assume that the same is happening for the other species since they are now participate in the Grand Battle. This tournament is way more beneficial now seeing as we have assess to that huge library. I have some researches and I think I will find material there to help me. Somethings don't add up to me and I want to find out as much as I can. I love knowledge and information. In addition, you can form contracts, bonds and relationships with other packs and species.

Tuning back to the last match for the morning, I could see Felisha and Deannah breathing heavily. Felisha was an Ogress, this is actually the first I've seen one. She was huge at eight feet in height but the crazy part is that's just a teen ogre. The adults can grow up to ten feet in height. Huge? I know! Ogres came in different colours but the darker or more vibrant the colour the higher their ranks are. Felisha was of a turquoise blue (2). She had shifted in her ogre form when Deannah angered her.

Of course Deannah being an elf, was extremely cocky and degrading. I can understand why people don't really like talking to elves if they are of a low rank. Sadly, elves are as good as they boast but they do have a knack for underestimating other species.

This fight was between two opposites; Felisha was more strength and emotions while little elfie was agility and calculations. Little elfie was equipped with the typical bow and arrow, elven bow and arrow to be exact. Their weapons were amazing in battle, they had the technique and technology to bring back their weapons do other techniques.

Right now Felisha look more like a practice target than an ogre to me with the amount of arrows buried in her flesh but she take them like a champ. Luckily she wasn't the only one on the receiving end, she had managed to land few blows on Deannah. By that I mean hit her into the wall with her massive arms and legs.

Deannah was covered in bruises from being thrown and even kicked around the ring when she couldn't maneuver out of the way fast enough. Add that with the amount of flips and running she had to be doing to fight the beast of a female and I can understand why she's breathing so heavily.

Although Felisha didn't have to move that much, some of the arrows embedded in her body were energy draining, another technique among the elves. It's a close battle that has an unclear outcome. Felisha can end this by stepping on her which shouldn't be too hard with her massive body and Deannah just needs to target the eye with her excellent marksmanship it should be a piece of cake but they are so breathless that moving is a chore and they both need speed for this.

Everyone was cheering for their desire competitor, my angels and Rose were shouting and cheering loudly for the Ogress, okay maybe not Rose and Angelica and- okay only Angela was cheering loudly for Felisha. The others did their little cheer when they felt like it. I know they don't like the elves after their encounter with a few.

Andy was munching on the popcorn with me, eyes glued to the match. Felisha took the first move and raise her foot and bring it down quickly. Unfortunately little elfie was faster and stroke her bow into the ground, a green shield form around her like a dome that protected her from been crushed like a bug.

Felisha stumble and lost her footing falling towards my side of the arena. My eyes widened and I leaped to the next row and instinctually gathered the pups under me. Seconds passed and I felt nothing, I looked behind me and see that a light blue barrier glistening from the wall up to the roof. I looked down and make sure the kids were alright but Angela just patted my head before throwing me up into my seat.

"Hey, that's rude!!" I shouted from in my seat, she flashed me a smile.

"Sorry ma but you were blocking the show." I growled and narrowed my eyes at her, she laughed and turned back to the fight.

I did the same not wanting to missing the action. The dome shield had disappeared and Felisha was on the ground leaning back on to the barrier. I could see Deannah aiming her arrow but Felisha was in a daze from the fall.

Deannah released a breath and with it the arrow, I watch the Green arrow with beautiful gold tips sail through the air and launched itself into her eyes and Felisha went motionless after a few breathes. The arena erupted in a cheerful roar while I was left pouting; why the elf have to win it just inflated her ego more. Though she did put up a good fight and came out victorious in the end plus she have some skills so I have to hand it to her. She's a good and skilled fighter.

"The Victor of this match is Deannah Fishman from Elegant Shine Drove. We will go off into our lunch break and return here at 2 o'clock sharp." The Moon Goddess put a pause on the battle, the pups didn't waste a second to rush out of their seats and tackled the stairs.

"Come on!" I quickly grabbed Andy's hand and pulled him down the stairs with me, after the children.

Fortunately he didn't fall as I pulled him along but he definitely didn't stop his protesting the entire way to the eating area. Thankfully we were one of the first set to reach apparently these people aren't hungry. We accumulated our lunch from the options displayed on the buffet table and took the table we usually sit at, near the exist.

Our table was filled with cheerful chatter and laughter, half way through our meal we were interrupted by Ace dressed in a suit and held a bouquet of yellow daisies.

"I brought these for you, lovely. I hope you will give me a chance and let me a company you at the table with my daughters." I accepted the yellow daisies with a tight smile and turn to the table.

"Do you guys want him let him sit here?" Honestly it's their call, it's their father and this is an opportunity to get to know him a little bit more but please say no, please say no, please say no, please say no!

"Suuure." They hesitantly say, Angela slight drawling the word. Angelica sounded too compliant to let him sit here.

"They approve you can have a seat." I said with a tight smile, turning back around then I realized the only available seat is the one between me and Andy. Fudge my life!

"Come cupcakes, you can sit in my lap and eat." I pull Lily and Daisy into my lap.

"What do you princesses want to eat?" They giggled and replied with pancake, then Angelo appeared and placed two plates of pancakes in front of them.

When did he get up? Ace got his food and returned and the chatter started again with the twins eating and playing my hair they can get access to. I'm gonna have to wash out the syrup later.
