Chapter 48- Energy
Demangelina's POV
"This isn't going to work," I grumbled getting up, brushing off the dry leaves and I could see Hunter's raised brow from the corner of my eye.
I glared at him, "What?"
He chuckled, "You were only sitting for two minutes."
"Two minutes too long," I huffed out, "I don't like this technique to begin with, like how they expect one to just sit still for an hour. That's crazy!"
A laugh sounded behind me, "What's so funny, Hunter?"
"Ahem, so the problem is because you can't sit still?"
"Not really, it's this damn place. I need dark energy but this area is full of light energy" I grimaced, "The Moon Goddess usually attract a lot of light energy around her because of obvious reason but she couldn't even spare a little dark energy yet she locked me in here."
I growled in frustration, "I would smash her head against the nearest wall if she wasn't my damn-" I sighed, "It's fine I let daddy get back at her eventually, just you wait!"
"Do you dislike the Moon Goddess?" Hunter's face scrunched in complicated emotions, "Aren't you a little disrespectful to her?"
I laughed, "Nah she's a great goddess, this is just how I am. I like her just light and dark clash sometimes and she gets on my nerves but I would kill for that woman whenever she stops been rude and eavesdrops on people like the creep she is."
"Oh darling, you wound me." I rolled my eyes at the silvery and smooth voice that resonated through the trees.
Seconds later the Goddess appeared beside me, seemingly glowing in the natural light. "Dramatic as ever, Selene. Would you please stop shining, it's blinding?"
"Killjoy as usual, I see." Gently waved her hand and the shine went it.
"No we just find joy in different things, you like glowing like a lightbulb and I prefer killing." I gave her a toothy grin. "Speaking of killing you know what I'm gonna do?"
