Chapter 12- Ace and Assembly
Angel's POV
"Angel?" Ace muttered, his eyes scanned my face then my Angel's. His eyes flashed in recognition.
"Kids meet your father." I mused reluctantly, to clear up Ace's mind on why Angelo looks like him or why Angela shared his hazel eyes with her brother, or why Angelica shared his facial structure.
"We had a father." Angela spun around, to face with her jaw hitting the ground.
"Nope, you and siblings dropped from the sky ten years ago." I sarcastically replied.
"Well, that would make more sense," She agreed making it my turn for my jaw to hit the ground," that or our sperm donor was a complete asshole for abandoning you."
"Now I did not expect that." I muttered when her blazing eyes met mine.
"You're going to let her talk about me like that in my face." Ace raged.
"Well she is not wrong, or you prefer if she said it behind your back." I raised a brow at his shaking form.
"You little-" Ace stepped forward, with his free arm raised.
Angelo intercepted him clearly not like Ace threatening pose. Ace looked down at my little boy like he had found what he been looking for, for years.
"How old is he?" He voiced his question.
"Asked him yourself, he is standing in front of you." I grabbed an apple to munch on to distract my teeth from sinking in his neck and watch him bleed out before me.
He cast me a fierce glance at the disrespect but otherwise ignored it. "How old are you, little guy?" He cooed.
"Don't talk to me like a baby. I am ten not three." Angelo snarked, he always looks so cute, let's just hope no one sticks their finger in his mouth and Ace looks close to doing just that.
A look of irritation took over Ace's face before he masked it with a smile. "The firstborn I hope?"
"Nope, I'm second." Angelo cracked a smile at Ace's furious face.
Ace retracted to his full height and stared lividly into my eyes. "What did I do to receive that look?"
"You females are useless and weak. All I want is a firstborn boy but no I get girls from both women." Ace raged, his grip was getting tighter on Rose's arm when I see her wincing with her head hanging down.
"Ace let go of your daughter you are hurting her," I stated calmly, Ace turns redder if that was even possible. He reminds of the angry tomato in the cartoon. What was its name again...
"What, this worthless trash?" Ace threw her down in rage and didn't see an ounce of regret on his face. Asshole, how can he treat his child like that. Wait he is not really to kick her, is he?!
The first kick landed on the torso and the other couldn't make its target. The air was thick with brick-like tension and frizzled with rage. "I warn you, let this be the last time you even breathe harmfully in her direction."
"Stay out of this you little wrench she is my child and I can treat the abomination however I want." Ace spatted in my face but was clearly cautious of me.
"A child whether boy or girl is not an abomination, they are blessings that you obviously don't deserve and will lose if you continue," I announced completely serious.
"Are you threatening me?"
"No I am making you a promise," I explained bitterly, "you have only one chance use it wisely."
I turned to Rose's crumbled form when Ace marched out of the kitchen. Rose stood indifferent as to what happened. "This has happened before, huh."
"Come on doll, let's go to my room." Angelo scooped her up in his arm before I could even move, giving her a fright.
We entered my room shortly, Angelo placed a completely fine Rose on the bed. Protective much, my boy.
"Oh shoot, I don't we have clothes for you." I groaned, at my foolishness.
"Don't worry mama, the room provides clothes," Angela informed cheerily, already back to her normal self.
"Huh?" I am at a loss here.
"Come on." Angelica bossily dragged me inside the closet and to another monitor embedded in the wall by the door.
"Just type in your style, number of occupants, and the size for each." I followed her instructions after I determined Rose's size.
It seems Rose like princess or girly outfits but her 'father' restricted her from wearing them. Evil bastard. The huge walk-in closet was now filled to the brim with clothes and an outfit for Rose. She had decided to stay in the kids' room so I just need one outfit for her the kids will add clothes for her in their room.
"Mama I- why did you ever mate with that man? I know we wouldn't have existed otherwise but he is just ugh!" Angela inquired, obviously can't process why I would ever be with a man like that.
"The truth is he raped me when he was in heat," I voiced while taking down Rose's dress, "but I wouldn't have wanted any other way. You guys are my Angels."
"Mama I am going for a glass of water," Angelica informed, already opening the door. Yeah right.
"Angelica don't hurt Ace," she stared defiantly, "leave it for the games."
Her eyes twinkled in mirth at the thought. Yeah, she's enjoying that scene in her head a little too much.
"Come on let's get ready," Angela chirps dragging poor little Rose to their room, "see you later, mama."
At 5 p.m sharp we arrived at the assembly on the open lawn in front of the arena. Chairs scattered the lawn as people mingle at the tables decorated with food. Twinkle lights hang from the branches of the trees surrounding the lawn and the natural light of the moon was welcomed. Before I could question anything a clang of glass rang through the air gaining everyone's attention, thanks to our enhanced hearing.
"Good evening," a motherly and soothing voice spread through the range of the area with ease, "as many of you may realize there have been some changes to the Grand Battles."
The silver moon attached to her milky white forehead signifies her status in our world. The Moon Goddess by all means was beautiful. Her hair was white like freshly fell snow and ended at her chest with silver iris that seem to get lost in her eyes. A silver floor-length dress was painted on her body showing every curve and symbol adorning her milky white skin.
"The location was changed to an area more convenient for everyone instead of a pack hosting the event. But most of all there is to be an alliance with most of the supernatural species and now they will participate with the wolves in these games." Well, that explains the flags and why I am seeing people with pointed ears, cat ears and tail, wings, and even scales. This is bound to be interesting.
"This is awesome." Angela squealed, how we are not deaf is a mystery.
"For now just mingle with one another and tomorrow will be the day of the battle. Also, there has not been a set time this event ends because of the changes and all, thank you." The heavenly glow around her seems to brighten when she smiled dazzlingly at her people.
"Well, let's go mingle with the elves first." I cheered, excited because I have never met anyone other supernatural apart from my kind.
