Chapter 43- Dark, Deadly and Poisonous

Third person's POV

Angel broke through the surface of the ice-cold water gasping, "What the fuck, Hunter?!"

Hunter coolly leaned against a tree watching her, he shrugged in reply. "You needed to cool down."

Angel's eyes became exasperated, she came out of the lake with her dress clinging to her body. How coincidental that the upper part of the dress was white and flowed into a black skirt. Her cream bra became apparent in her wet state.

Hunter didn't budge as she took angry strides toward him, the electric blue was noticeably gone in her eyes and her aura was concealed again leaving behind a cute angry kitten.

An amused curve formed on his lips and Angel narrowed her eyes at it. The sunlight glowed on his relaxed frame, giving him a highlight like he was a beautiful angel. Angel's anger halted at the small smile before she deadpanned and raised a brow.

"You needed to cool down." His fruity voice threw out the same reason so casually making Angel's lips twitch.

"You could have just done the normal thing and let me inhale your scent!"

"You aren't normal," Angel inhaled a deep breath in response, "besides, you said you don't like normal."

She opened her eyes and glared at him, she did indeed say that before but was this necessary? His smile widened at his cute little mate.

"I like it when you're wet." Angel's eyes narrowed at his statement, when did he become so naughty? A strong wind passed through making Angel shudder and teeth chattered.

"I'm cold," Angel stated softly giving off a delicate and pure appearance.

She quickly hugged Hunter to ensure her whole body was in contact with him, letting the water soak through his clothes. Hunter wrapped his arms around her a second later and a wicked smile bloomed on her lips.

"Since you like it so much why not experience it yourself?" Angel muttered, Hunter didn't get much reaction time when he was thrown from a distance into the ice-cold lake. It was comical seeing this, a short curvy lady throwing a strongly built man almost twice her size meters away.

*****Time Skip*****

Morning came quickly with Angel bustling in the kitchen. The living quarters were huge for the wolves so most of the time they just run into a small group. Deciding on a more healthy breakfast in contrast to yesterday, she got to work early.

Everyone came the second the stove was off making Angel suspicious of their timing. Sitting on the island eating breakfast, Angela couldn't contain her giggles when looking at Hunter and her mother.

"What's so funny?" Angel finally asked after the excessive giggling.

"Your cute pout when you came out of the woods drenched with Hunter yesterday," She exploded laughing at her mother's expense. "I can't believe he threw you in the lake to calm down!"

"He did what?!" Andy exclaimed, looking at the rude young girl and then his brother in disbelief.

"I said your brother threw ma in the lake after he left with her yesterday." Andy was in the dark about this because he left for his room after the two left instead of going to training.

"But why?" He just couldn't fathom why his brother did that.

"She needed to cool down." Silence cloaked the table once again, is this what they call high IQ but low EQ?
