Chapter 49 - Stupid Mortals

Third person POV

The sun's blazing glares fell heavily on the stupefied audience, not a cloud in sight to shield the arena from its uncomfortable heat. There was a deafening silence, the stench of blood was thick in the air with it, the bittersweet scent of fear the demon craved.

Everyone was strongly recollecting and understanding why demons were separated from them with realms. They were creatures far more powerful and terrifyingly dark to live among them. They strived on fear and disorder, overwhelmingly dark creatures that would surely bring chaos to the land.

The children and few adults had exited the arena when Demangelina appeared in the ring for they knew they would not be able to stomach the bloody scene that was promised to come. What a great choice they made.

A drunken laugh echoed off the high impenetrable walls of the arena, scraping ever so gentle on the hearts of its hearer. Her lengthened pairs of canines and incisors could be seen with each bellow. Demangelina's eyes took on a more vibrant color of red, scarlet eyes shone on a blanket of blackness, the white no longer present.

A sound of a body dragged against the sand triggered her amused laughter, however, the audience felt slight pity beneath their horror. This was a death match, the Moon Goddess would not interfere or heal the defeated and a large portion of both packs promising youth were killed the packs would suffer a huge blow from the loss.

A young man dragged his body desperately towards the open gate, his black hair was matted in blood, and once elegant black frames laid cracked and bloodied on his ashen face. His crawl was slow, blood flowed and trailed heavily behind him in place of his legs, far too weak from the blood loss, his desperate yet futile attempt wrenched the spectators' hearts except for the demon of course.

"I remember you," the soft chuckle send chills down the spine of others, the young nan was visibly trembling. "You were that little nerd at the front when the three packs attacked Angel, correct?"

His arms gave out whether out of fear or exhaustion, nobody knew. His trembling worsened as he refused to confirm her word but he need not. "What did you say back then? You'll pay, bitch?"

No response. The ruthless beauty crouched before him and grasped his chin, eyes filled with petrification connected to hers before darting away, it widened the smile on her pouty lips. A dark gaze settled onto the hand that held his blood chin, Demangelina paid no heed to Hunter's illogical stare.

Fortunately, there was no mind reader around her mate for it was certain, great confusion would overtake their being at the direction of this Alpha's thoughts on the series of actions taking place. Alpha Hunter felt no fear or apprehension only the discomfort that crawled from his stomach and latched its vile crawls on his heart when Demangelina harmlessly touched the dying man. There were obviously some issues with the wiring of his brain.

"Yet look which bitch is here paying hmm," Demangelina hummed, roughly pushing him on his back.

The collar bone and ribs are two of the most painful bones to break and this little demon did not restrain herself from taking full advantage of that knowledge before using a rib bone to slowly penetrate his heart. Only then did the gloomy gaze calmed. Shrilled screams reverberated through every second of his lingering death.

Devoid of remorse, Demangelina strolled through the gates that have been long since open, leaving behind the bloodbath.

This would be the day that lingered in the mind of all yet the cause of the terror was bounding happily towards the shield around the territory.
