Chapter 15

a/n This part is going to start the section on Peeta's family. I think I am going to start with Peeta's father, then go to his mother, then his brothers. These probably won't be very long considering we don't know that much about them. Also I couldn't find any pictures of Peeta's father and I don't know if I will be able to find pictures of Peeta's mom or brothers. I will look but if I can't I will let you know and you can try and imagine. C: Onto the story

Mr. Mellark

Father of Liam, Ryder, and Peeta Mellark

Husband of Mrs. Mellark

Mr. Mellark was a kind man who always put others before himself. He always knew the right thing to say and could make anyone feel better. He radiated positive energy. He looked after and raised three sons who could always make people feel better, just like him. He always saw the best in people. He was a positive thinker and always saw the glass as half full. He always knew what to do and was calm under pressure.

He died in the bombing of District twelve during the rebellion.

(Peeta's pov)

It's hard writing about my father. He was very dear to me. He always made me feel better after my mom would hit me with the rolling pin. I wince at the memory of being beaten by my mother. Out of the corner of my eye I see Katniss's confused look, which she quickly wipes off her face, probably assuming it was just a bad memory from the games. I start thinking about what I am going to write for my mother, and I can't think of anything, so I just stop.

"Should I draw a picture of my father? I don't have pictures of any of my family. They burned in the bakery," I ask.

"Sure. I am going to go get some water would you like some?" Katniss asks, standing up.

"Yeah, water would be nice."

"Ok."
