Jungwoo let out a small squeal of excitement as Moonlight by Ariana grande started playing through the speakers of his phone. He mouthed the words silently as he leaned closer to the mirror, applying a layer of mascara to his eyelashes.
You see, Jungwoo's a Junior in college, but that's not all there is to him...everybody knew who he was, the cute gay boy who wore skirts and dresses around campus. All the girls either hated or loved Jungwoo, no in between. The reason he was hated by some was one simple reason: he was known for getting straight boys even without the intention to do so.
Just as he added the finishing touch to his makeup, strawberry scented lip gloss, his best friend Ten walked into his small dorm. "Hey babe, ready for our coffee date?"
"Yup! How do I look?" Jungwoo asked softly as he turned to Ten with a small smile.
"Oh my god that waist! No wonder all the girls are jealous..." Ten said dramatically as he placed a small butterfly clip in his hair. His face scrunched up when he looked in the mirror and quickly took it out.
A small giggle escaped Jungwoo as he watched his best friend. "C'mon let's go!" Jungwoo whined, receiving a pout from Ten.
"I look homeless compared to you." Shaking his head, Jungwoo was quick to disagree.
He held up a pink tinted lip gloss and showed Ten what to do with his lips. He complied, puckering his lips slightly as Jungwoo put the sweet smelling gloss on his lips. "There now we match!" Before Ten had time to even so much as glanced at his reflection, Jungwoo was dragging him out of the dorm.
The two gossiped and giggled during their walk to the coffee shop on campus.
"Lookin like a hottie, Woo!"
Jungwoo blushed as he shyly waved towards the girl who just shouted at him, "Hi Yeri!" He held the door open for Ten as they reached the small cafe.
They ordered then sat down at their normal table in the corner of the room. "Sicheng almost strangled me when I told him we were going without him," Ten said as he rolled his eyes.
"He's in class right now though," Jungwoo's other best friend, Sicheng, was even more dramatic than Ten most of the time.
After taking a sip of his drink, Ten threw his hands up, "He's been even more clingy since he started dating Yuta which makes no sense."
"I don't like Yuta." Jungwoo mumbled as he picked at his pink nail polish.
"Just because he doesn't want to wear matching skirts with you doesn't mean you have to be mean to him." Ten let out a small laugh at the memory of Jungwoo and Yuta arguing over a skirt.
Though the pout on Jungwoo's face continued to grow. "Sicheng deserves a boy who will wear a skirt. Are you even a man if you won't put a skirt on?" Jungwoo rambled as he emphasized his words with hand gestures.
"I'd put on a skirt for you, kitten," A random jock said as he passed by, followed with a deformed looking wink.
Ten laughed at the disgusted look on Jungwoo's face. "What's wrong kitten?" He mocked, earning a playful slap on the arm from the younger.
"He just ruined kitten for me. That was reserved for my future husband!" Jungwoo cried as he slammed his head down onto the table.
"Hey Ten...?" A very confused Johnny stood in front of the two. He glanced at the distressed boy before looking back at Ten.
Ten smiled at Johnny, "Hi...he's fine."
Tilting his head to the side so he could see Johnny, Jungwoo lazily waved, "You can join if you want...everything is already ruined."
"Aw...what happened?" Johnny asked as he pulled up a chair.
After letting out a huff, Jungwoo lifted his head, "This is the fourth time this week that I've been verbally assaulted!" He said angrily towards Johnny, who was intently listening.
"He's mad because that dumb hoe call him kitten." Everybody followed the direction Ten was pointing to see a group of football players sitting at a booth. "Since when do football players even drink coffee?"
Johnny turned his attention back onto the boys in front of him, "Jungwoo, I'm loving the skirt. That color looks really nice on you."
Blushing once again, Jungwoo turned and slapped Ten's arm harder than he meant to, "If you don't date him I will...hot and sweet!" His eyes fluttered down to the red mark forming on Ten's arm tensed. "Sorry about that...I got excited."
"I'm sorry honey, Johnny doesn't like shy boys." Ten sassed as he rubbed his arm.
"I'm not shy!" There was a determined look on Jungwoo's face, as he hated when people called him shy when didn't think he was.
"Doyoung called you cute yesterday and you froze for a good five minutes." Ten stated, a smug smile resting on his face.
Johnny let out a dramatic breath as he slammed his hands down on the table, making the two boys jump. "So is Ten going to date me or not!?" There was a anxious edge to Johnny's voice as his eyes darted between the two.
"Take me out to dinner tomorrow." Ten said casually as he made eye contact with Johnny.
Johnny's eyes widened and he slapped his hand over his mouth. "Yes!" There was a grin spreading across his face as he wiggled in his seat excitedly.
"Now Jungwoo, my baby, we have to find you a boyfriend if I'm going to have one. We can't let you be the only single one in the friend group." Clasping his hands in front of his face, Ten looked like he was giving Jungwoo an intervention.
"Haechan—"
"Is sleeping with Mark." Ten stated bluntly.
Pouting once again, Jungwoo shook his head, "I don't want a boyfriend. The boys here only want me because of my body. Besides...I should focus on school."
"Honey, there are many boys here who want you...the whole you. What about Doyoung? He's sweet." Ten questioned.
Quickly shaking his head, Jungwoo rejected the boy, "Doyoung is...he's just...I don't know how to say this. Um he's too gentle I guess. I want a boy who will care about me but y'know...snap my neck when he needs to."
Johnny choked on his drink, his eyes widening as he stared at Jungwoo. "I would have never expected that to come out of your mouth," He said quietly as he wiped the coffee he spit off the table.
"Ok...we can find you a soft but rough boy who'll take care of you...me and Sicheng got this." Ten muttered as he glanced around the coffee shop for potential candidates.
