🌹Mystery Lover🌹

As the ball carried on into the early hours. Elegant music still played throughout the ballroom. I thought I would have a look around this luscious home, that was filled with fancy decoy but mostly elegance.  Maybe I might even find who sent me that invitation? I passed many people laughing and having a good time. I wonder where the four noblemen went off too? Would I ever see any of them again?

I smiled at the memory of the dances I had with them all. I will never forget this night for the rest of my life. I let a small giggle escape from my lips. I saw a beautiful staircase, people were moving around the house so I thought I would follow and investigate too. I couldn't help stopping every once in a while to take in the beauty of my surroundings. I was still stunned.

I got to the top of the long staircase. wow, that was a long climb. I looked over the side to see lots of people having a good time. I noticed lots of doors down the long corridor. I slowly walked down and stopped at the first door. I slowly placed my hand on the door handle and opened the door. My eyes went wide with surprise. It was a luxurious bedroom. Only in magazines have I  ever seen such beautiful rooms. I quickly closed the door again. The other rooms must also be bedrooms.

I thought I better go back down, I'm not going to find any answers up here. I needed to get some fresh air anyway as it was starting to feel a little stuffy in here. I noticed there was a door not far from the ballroom to the gardens. So I headed back towards the staircase. As I started to step down the first step, I held my dress up in my hand so I wouldn't trip.

People were coming up the staircase as I was trying to go back down. A couple kissing passionately moved passed me and bumped into me. They stopped and apologised. I smiled back as they carried on, but my foot got caught on the step. Oh crap! I'm losing my balance and I'm going to fall down the marble stairs.

As I stumbled, my body plunged forward. I closed my eyes, I didn't want to see the fall. But my body was bathed in the warmth of someone. At that moment I realized it was in the arms of a stranger. I quickly pulled away from him, but he just pulled me in closer.

"I'm, so sorry... Sir... I... Er."

I stumbled for words as I looked into his beautiful eyes. His mask! I do not remember seen that mask tonight, it was in light silver. There are many different ones here tonight. He smiled as the aroma of his sweet scent, arose once again. It smelt floral but mostly like roses.

"Fear not, young lady ... Let me take you out into the gardens for some fresh air."

He then scooped me up into his arms as he carried me down the stairs and out into the warm sweet night's air. Once outside in the beautiful garden, he set me down upon my feet. But he still held me tightly in his arms. I couldn't take my eyes off him. I watched him give me a sexy smile.

The mood now turned romantic as the music still played. I felt myself melt into his arms. He had a devilish grin come over his gorgeous face. In a very sensual way, he pulled off my glove as he held my wrist and moved it up to his face. He dragged his lips along my fingertips, then moved down to my wrist as he Kissed it softly. I thought my heart was going to explode.

"May I have your name? So I can thank you?"

I spoke in a faint whisper to him, he smirked then spoke back.

"Just holding you close to me like this... Is all I need in return for your thanks."

The nobleman then kissed my wrist again, but this time it was more seductive as he ran his teeth down my wrist. The pleasure ran over my body making me shiver. He chuckled at my response before placing a diamond bracelet upon my wrist.

"Soon Harper, you will become mine...Let's just say... You have just found your mystery lover."

His voice deepened with a seductive tone as he whispered into my ear. His breath and words made my body quiver with excitement. I looked at him and he smiled before he released me. He kissed the back of my hand before he walked away. I watched him leave as I stood in the gardens leaving me stunned... Just who is he?
