I Can Not Live Alone: York

I held Harper in my arms as my hand filled with her blood. No, Harper!

"Harper! Open your eyes, sweetheart... No, Harper, stay with me... No... Bloody call for an  ambulance Ren!"

I looked at Ren, he looked into space as he fell to his knees. He mumbles out.

"She moved in the way... Why did she move?"

"Ren! Snap out of it... Quickly, your phone."

Ren looked at Harper then pulled out his phone. I leant over and snatched it out of his hand. I called the emergency services as I held Harper in my arms and pressed hard against Harper's back. I stayed on the phone as I waited for help. Harper was still breathing, but barely.

Ren got up in a daze. He started to walk out of the bedroom. I called after him but he carried on walking across the room with the gun in his hand.

"Do not leave, You need to see what you have done to her.. If you love her, you will not leave her!"

Ren stopped, then turned back. He looked at Harper then spoke.

"Do not worry, I will tell them it was an accident, cousin... I have to leave now... Because I love her."

"What? Ren? You are not making any sense... No, wait!"

He then leaves the room as I noticed flashing lights shine in from the window. I held Harper tighter in my arms as I kissed her lips as tears fell down my face. I knew if I was not holding Harper, I would have killed him.

I sat in the hospital waiting room, waiting for news while Harper was in surgery. Ace and Kyo sat waiting with me. We were all in our own thoughts. I got up and ran my hands through my hair. Harper has been in there for hours. I had no idea what was going on. Ace got up then punched the wall. Kyo stood up and held his shoulders. A doctor then walked in the waiting room.

"Mr Moss?"

I walked over to him with haste.

"Is Harper, okay?"

I studded his face as Ace and Kyo rushed over to me.

"Miss Black has made it through the surgery, she is one lucky lady. If the bullet wound was an inch to the right then she would have not been so lucky."

"But is she going to be alright?"

Ace jumped in at the doctor with panic in his voice. I held his shoulder as the doctor spoke.

"Miss black is in a coma. We have done all we can do. We have stopped the internal bled and now the rest is up to Miss black."

"Can we see her?"

Kyo jumped in next, The doctor looked at us all then nodded. The doctor took us to her room then he left. I slowly pushed open the door as I walked in. Tears fall as I watched Harper breathing with tubes all over her. It was a sight I was not ready for even though she looked peaceful like she was asleep. I held my heart as I got nearer.

I sat down next to her and gently took her hand in mine. I caressed her hand with my thumb. I looked up at Ace and Kyo as they sat next to her on the other side of her bed. I watched as tears fell from their faces. I spoke softly.

"She will wake up... She has a lot of love waiting for her."

Ace nodded as he held his head in his hands. I caressed her hair softly with my other hand. Kyo held Harper's other hand as I whispered to her.

"I am sorry, Harper. I should have stopped Ren... Please forgive me."

I heard Ace's voice whisper out into the room.
