Drawing The Line

Ace explained what had happened and York was pissed at Miss Snowdon and her sister. York called her and this time she picked up, hoping he was running to her. But instead, he told her that he did not want anything more to do with her or her family. York wants them both to stay away from me and we would sort out our own wedding, plus she was no longer a midnight ball member.

York thew his phone on the desk then pulled me into his arms. He buried his face in the crook of my neck. I caressed his head slowly as he tightened his arms around my waist. I heard him whisper.

"Harper, sweetheart, I am so sorry that they did that to you... I will stop Ren."

"I know, It is okay... Just always love me, kind sir."

"Oh, my lady... I will always love you I can promise you... I am your moon and you are my star."

Tears ran down my face at his words. He felt my tears drop on his neck. York looked up then kissed my lips. He scooped me up then took me up to our bedroom. He closed the door then made slow but passionate love to me.

Hours later, I let Harper sleep. Harper's phone beeped so I quickly picked it up, I did not want it to wake her. I noticed it was a message from Ren. I read it and he wants to meet her. Harper has been through enough. So I texted him back agreeing to meet him as Harper. He told her to meet him at his manor at the Michaelson Estate.

I wanted Harper to rest, but before I left I placed a red rose next to her on the pillow. I gently kissed her lips and she moaned in her sleep. I smiled as I walked out and closed the door. I then found Ace and Kyo in the living room.

"We are going to meet Ren."

Ace and Kyo looked up at me in surprise. I showed them Harper's text from Ren. They both grabbed their jackets and followed me out.

We all arrived at the Michaelson Estate. I walked up to Ren's front door and kicked it open. I knew he was hiding inside the moment he saw our cars.

Ace spotted him making a run for it but Kyo grabbed him and we took him to a chair. Ace and Kyo held him so I could talk with him.

"Okay, York, hit me and get it over with."

I ran my hands through my hair, by doing that I instantly thought of Harper. I was so pissed and was going to hit him, but she stopped me and she never knew it. I actually wanted to kill him.

"I am not going to hit you, Ren. I will not go down to your level."

Ren looked at me shocked as I stood in front of him.

"Tell me why, Ren?... Why did you start all this?"

Ren looked at me then looked down at the floor. He started to speak.

"I fell in love with her, York... You know how she makes you feel right? Well for me that was everything I ever wanted, the way she loved me with her pure heart."

Ace then spoke out.

"Then why the hell did you destroy what love she gave you?"

"I know... I got scared of losing her as she fell in love with York."

Kyo then spoke.

"Yes, but she fell in love with me and Ace too. I know she was falling in love with you also Ren... I even tried to give her my bracelet and lost... I was out of the game. But look what she gave me in return... Her love....I still get to keep her in my life.... I am deeply in love with her, I could never hurt the one I love."
