Without You

I slowly open my eyes to my lips being kissed softly. Is that Ace? Is he still here? His kiss deepened as he pulled me closer to him. I placed my hand up to the back of his head and I could not feel any strap to a mask. It must be... Ace?

"Ace? Is that you?"

I whisper softly to him, still half asleep.

"Shh it is okay, Harper, it is I... Your mystery lover."

My eyes opened and I looked at him in the darkness but I still could not see his face. I heard him chuckle softly then kissed me softly again before he  whispered.

"I can not live without you, Harper. I need you in my life... I love you so much. Somtimes It feel as if my heart will stop as it beats so fast."

"You have me, kind sir, I love you too... But I can not tell who you are?"

"I will tell you this... I am not Ren... But you have already worked that out this after Ren hurt you tonight... I promise you he will not get away with that."

I knew the mystery lover would protect me. Both Ace and York had told me they would. So why did I not make that connection before now? But Ren was very convincing and strangely enough, my feeling was true for him and still kind of are. I can not just let go of the feelings I have for him go so quickly. I do not think he meant to hurt me,  he was just afraid of losing... Mostly me.

"I know you will and thank you, kind sir... I only wish I knew your name?"

"You will do soon enough, Harper... But until then, you can call out any name you wish as I make love to you... My lover."

He then pushes me softly onto my back. He kisses my chest then notices love bites over me. He kissed them as if he was removing Ren's mark by replacing them as his own. I moan out softly to him as he leaves new ones all over my body.

I wonder if he is Ace? Did he leave? Or did York hear what happened and raced here? How long was I asleep for? My head swirled with many questions. I then softly spoke.

"Do you know what will happen with Ren? Will he be at the last midnight ball? Can I trust him again?"

"He will not be allowed to become a midnight ball member any longer... For one, Ren has hurt you and secondly, he has broken the rules and cheated... I will not let him near you again. I know that will not stop him If he does decide to show up... Do not worry, I will take care of it."

He pulled me closer to him and stroked my hair. I could feel his love as he touched me. I am deeply in love with him. He whispers out again, still stroking my hair slowly.

"I do not think he really wants to hurt you, Harper... He is crazy in love with you... Just as I am and I could never hurt you... Just remember sometimes men can be wolves in sheep's clothing... Do not ever take off that bracelet until your heart is sure you know who you want to be with."

He then held my wrist to his lips then kissed it softly. His kiss trailed along my arm to my shoulder. He moved and hung his sexy body over me as he kissed my lips softly. His kisses were taken my breath away. I knew I wanted him to make love to me. He smiled as if he had read my mind and slowly started to take off my clothes. We made gently love all night until I fell asleep again while in his arms.

The next morning when I woke, I knew he would not be there. I only wished he was, but in his place once again waiting was a rose. I smiled at it then placed it with the others in my box.

I called in sick as I could not face people today and I had a lot on my mind especially Ren. I wanted to know if he was okay? But I was not ready to face him. Not without the others there.
