My Way Back To You: York

I woke up to find Harper was not in my bed. Maybe she is in the bathroom? I laid there waiting for her to return but the minutes passed. Something did not feel right. I got up out of bed and tried the door to her room from mine. It was locked. Why is it locked?

I walked out of the main door and knocked on her main door. No answer. I opened the door slowly and looked at the bed. She was not in her room. I walked over to her bed and noticed her Diamond bracelet and other jewellery was on the bedside table with a note.

I picked up the bracelet and ran my fingers over it then picked up her note. I sat on her bed and looked at her note... why did she leave? I read what she wrote. Tears fell down my face. I am heartbroken... She fears that Ren will never leave her alone and she does not wish to ruin my friendship with all the fighting... Oh, Harper!

Anger then rose in me... I was not letting her go... I will find her and Ren will not have her. I ran my hand through my hair as I got up on my feet. I quickly got changed then grabbed my keys.

"I am coming to find you, Harper. I will find my way back to you. Please do not give up on my love!"

I roared into the night as I drove my car. The first place I will try is her apartment. I screeched to a stop outside of her apartment. I banged on her door but no answer. I looked through her window but it looked dark, so I ran around the back. I opened the kitchen window as I always had and climbed in. I headed straight to Harper's room.

She was not there... Where has she gone? I knew only a few places. I then noticed a small red light from the corner of the room... The bloody camera... Ren! How did I not notice this before? I looked at the camera that was hidden on top of a tall cabinet. Harper wouldn't have seen it... But how the hell did he get in here to put it in place? The bloody window? The same way as I did. I grabbed the camera and spoke into it.

"If you can hear and see me, Ren? I 'm going to bloody rip off your head."

I then ripped the camera out, now he can no longer see her. I left Harper's apartment and made my way to Ren's at the Michaelson's Estate. I pulled up and got out of my car, I banged on his door. He chuckled as he opened the door.

"I saw you on camera, York. So what brings you here at this hour?"

"Do not get smug with me. Where is Harper?"

"Well, she is not here... Did she finally come to her senses and leave you for me?"

I grabbed him by the collar and held him up against the wall.

"You damn well know she left me, but it will never be for you... What is wrong with you, Ren? I can not believe you would do this to your own blood?"

Ren chuckles at me. I am going smack that smug look off his face in a minute.

"You know why, York... York is the favourite... York does very well... York gets the girl... York gets anything he wants."

Oh, I get it?... You always were jealous that I got more inheritance than you... Sorry, cousin for being the eldest when our grandparents died.

Ren then pushed back. The look on his face was ready to kill.

"Yes, You always got their approval. What did I get?... Nothing, it was always, York... Well not anymore."

Ren then punched me, I fell back, but I got back up and punched him back in the face. He pulled me as we pulled each other around the foyer punching each other. He grabbed my jacket and My phone fell out of my pocket. He stood on it as we fought.

"This will get us nowhere Ren, Just give up on Harper... She does not love you... I love her and she is mine...When I brought her into the game... You must have known that?"

"Yes, I knew that at first, I played the game as you wanted... But I fell for her too okay? I really do love her too... It is not all about you, York."

"So have the others fallen for her... But they have accepted it is her choice, not your choice Ren."

We both stood away from each other catching our breath. Blood was dripping from us both. I turned to leave but Ren called back.

"Just watch me steal her from you in front of your eyes, York."

"You do not touch her, Ren... She does not want you."

"Well, we will see... You better watch your back, York."

"Is that a threat, Ren?"

"Call it what you will... If I can not have her... Neither will you, cousin."

I picked up my phone before I left Ren and got back into my Bagatti. I roared out of the Michaelson Estate back into the night. Where is Harper? I have to find her before Ren. I looked at my phone. It was broken so I threw it on the seat. I thought of the park. I pulled up outside and ran through the park calling her name hoping she was there... I stopped where we had our date. I slumped down on the bench. 

I felt my jaw, It was hurting like hell. I must admit he got me good, but I knew I got him just as good. I sat there thinking, where else could she be? The earlier sun was rising as it was daybreak. I ran my hand through my hair... Ace and Kyo? Could she have gone to Ace's Or Kyo's? I got back up and ran back to the car... I will try Kyo's first, he is closest from here.

I pulled up outside Kyo's penthouse. I raced up to the top floor and banged on his door. He finally opened his door, he looked at me surprised.

Kyo, please tell me that Harper is here with you?"

He looked at me, still half asleep.

"York? What is going on? No, why would Harper be here?"

"Damn it! Where is she? I have to find her, Kyo I can not lose her."

"Did she leave you, York? I told her to talk to you and not to give up. I knew Ren got in her head. Damn him. By the looks of it, he had it out with you?"

"Yes, well he came off worse, but I need to find her before he finds her."

"I will try calling her."

"Thank you, Kyo."

We went inside and Kyo called Harper but nothing. Her phone is off. He tried Ace"s but he did not pick up.

"It is still early, York, maybe he is still sleeping? Best to go over and check and see if she is there?"

"I am going to try there next, thank you, Kyo if she turns up please keep her here, I will get another phone and call you."

"What happened to your phone?"

"It got broken in the fight."

"Okay, well If she does come here I will look after her. Ren won't touch her I promise."

"I know. You still love her too, Am I right?"

"Yes, but I know she loves you with all her heart"

I know she does that's why she left me, She did not want to hurt me with what is happening with Ren. But I can not live without her.

"I am going to try Ace's, I will call you or maybe come back later."

I left Kyo's and headed out to The Bradshaw Estate. I pulled up but noticed his car was not there. I banged on the door but nothing? Where else could she be?

I sat back in my car. Where else should I look? Maybe she went back to mine? I started the car and pulled away. I drove back home in the hope she was there.
