Cloud Nine: Part Two

Ace tried to cheer me up by taking me shopping. I did not know how I was going to tell York what had happened with Miss Snowdon. Ace reassured me that York will believe me over her. I just hope he was right.

Ace took me to a shopping mall. He wanted to treat me to something of my choice. I was still worried about the wedding but Ace told me that whatever happens, York will sort it out. Ace pulled me into an expensive clothing store. The dresses in here were gorgeous but way out of my price range. I pulled Ace to go but he pulled me back.

"Harper, baby? Do you like that dress?"

I chuckled softly at him.

"You do not normally call me baby. Why have you started now?"

"I want you to know just how much I love you,... You are my baby so that is what I am going to call you for now on."

"I do not hate it, It is something I am not used to hearing... In fact I like it."

"Good, so does, my baby, want that dress?"

"It is very expensive."

Ace pulled me in closer then whispers on my lips.

"Let me spoil you with buying you this... You are worth more than everything in the store... Please, baby."

He looked at me with his sexy sparkling blue eyes before he kissed me. I could not say no. So I nodded and he grinned happily at me. I chuckled as he grabbed the dress. He took me around looking at other things. I knew he wanted to buy me more. Ace smiled and he was making me feel loved.

I was looking at the fine jewellery as Ace was looking at the underwear. I giggled as he winked at me before he held up a sexy black bra and panties. I blushed and he chuckled. He held them with the dress. Oh, he is getting them too?

I looked away and chuckled softly. A woman then stood in front of me. I smiled at her before I spoke.

"Sorry, please excuse me."

I stepped passed her but he grabbed my arm.

"You are her... Harper, right?"

"Sorry, Do I know you?"

"No, but you know my good friend."

"Are you a friend of York's?"

"Oh, good god no, I am a good friend of Ren's... I see you are not good enough for him even though you are a commoner.... What does he see in you anyway? ... Well, I see your wedding plans are not going so well?"

"How do you know about that?"

She laughed at me then looked at me with hate showing though her eyes.

"Ren, told me about you, so I thought I would help him out and stop you from marrying York... I still do not get what Ren sees in you?... But he insists that he will marry you."

"Why are you doing this? Do you know, Miss Snowdon?"

"Yes, of course, she is my sister... She wants York for herself, so now you can have Ren... Problem solved."

I looked at her, I was getting angry as this is now. This is the second time someone is trying to get me to split up with York... Did Ren plan this on his own? She did say she was helping out her sister as well as Ren.

"Look, I do not see it as any of your business when it comes to the man I love."

She chuckles then looks down at me. like I was something she had just stepped in.

"How dare you speak that way to me."

What is with these people? Why do they think they are better than me? I may not have money but I truly love York.
