Someday Soon: Part One

A few days had passed since York had proposed. I am still smiling and I can not stop looking at my ring. It is gorgeous and I bet he had spent another small fortune on this ring. I have just come back from helping out Mr Juliano. I filled him in with what has happened in my life and he is happy for me. Now that York has came into my life, Mr Juliano is happy for me to come in and help whenever I have time.

With Mr Juliano being like a father to me, he wants to meet with York. I know they are going to get on well together. He called my father straight away and he is also over the moon with happiness.

I knew York was busy in his office today. He told me he still had to plan the midnight ball events as it is part of the business he runs. He likes to plan everything just right, but on the next midnight ball, he is going to show me how everything is done as he wants me to run that with him. He wants me to choose the ladies with the four noblemen with him, I also get to choose which noblemen will become the mystery lover. I can not wait for that, it is so exciting.

I went upstairs to our room to change out of my work clothes. As I enter the bedroom I notice a huge box waiting for me on the bed. I looked at it curiously. The box looked like the one used by the mystery lover. I grinned as I opened the box. York knows how to steal my heart. I picked up the card laying on top and read it.

Harper, You have been invited to Your midnight engagement ball. Surprise!... Here at your home... Please find inside the dress code...Your sexy dress!  A mask is not needed... But the diamond one will look very sexy on you as I want you to wear that one for me later tonight! ... A car will not be picking you up... I will be waiting outside your old room, just before midnight.... I love you forever and more... Your fiancee. x

I giggled out as I read his words, my heart was singing with excitement. I could not wait to see him all dressed up in his formal suit. I put down the card then gently took the dress out of the box... My mouth fell open at the beautiful ballgown he had given me. It was navy blue around the body. The neckline opened down to the waist of the dress. It is strapless but covered in beautiful navy embroidery that then travelled down to a full white skirt.

"Oh, York."

My words left my lips, I was so stunned at the beauty. I noticed the high heeled shoes still in the box. They were just as beautiful and matched the dress, in navy with white flowers. I giggled out as I picked them up. I took the dress and shoes into my old room ready for tonight.

The night arrived and I peeked out of the window to see the guests arrive. I noticed all the ladies in their beautiful ballgowns with the gentlemen escorting them into the manor. It was so exciting to watch. I took in a deep breath as I looked into the mirror at my dress. I could not wait to see York's face as he see me in this dress. I heard a knock at the bedroom door... He's here ready for me! I walked over to the door and opened it.

The music from downstairs in the ballroom filled my room as I looked at my gorgeous fiancee standing before me in his black sexy formal suit with a breast jacket and tie. I watched him grin as he held out his hand. He turned me around slowly and I giggled.

"Wow!... Just stunning and beautiful, my lady."

"Thank you, kind sir... You look very handsome and very sexy tonight."

York chuckled softly as he pulled me in closer and kissed me passionately. Our lips parted then I spoke softly against his lips.

"Thank you for all this... I had no idea you were even thinking about an engagement party.

"Correction... Our engagement ball... There is nothing I would not do for you, my lady."

I chuckled at him as he smiled. The way he looked at me was making my heart thump. I could not wait to spend the night alone with him.
