Dreaming With A Broken Heart

I walked in the still of the night. I had no idea where to go? I could not go back to my apartment. Ren would see me and most likely come over to torment me. I could not go to Mr Juliano's. I do not want my dad worrying and I could not call Ace or Kyo... They would call York straight away. No, I needed time to think.

I ended up in the park... I remember the dates here with York. Tears fell as I sat on the bench. It looks like I will be spending the night here... What am I going to do? I sat there with  my tears... I love York with all my heart that is why I left.. I could not come between them all.

I laid down on the bench. I wrapped my coat tighter around my body as the night air become colder. Tears still fall as I felt a hand gently take mine. I looked up but I could not see his face. He moved in a little closer then his face came clear from the shadows of the night.

"Ace?"

"Harper, come with me. I can not let you stay here, it is too dangerous."

Ace pulled me up into his arm. He held me tightly then took my hand in his as he laced his fingers through mine. I looked at him as we walked through the park to his car. He never said a word he just smiled.

Once inside the Bradshaw Estate. Ace took my coat from me and wrapped a warm fluffy blanket around my shoulders as he sat me on his sofa. He Brought in two hot drinks and handed me one as he sat down next to me then pulled me gently into his chest. I felt warmth and loved as he stroked my hair.

"Why did you leave, Harper?"

"How did you know I had?"

He smiled then answered.

"Kyo told me he thought you might, so I waited around and followed you."

"Of course... Kyo."

I softly chuckled then smiled.

"I will tell you what I told Kyo... I do not want you all to fight over me... You all were okay before I came along. I can not come between Your friendship, even if I love York with all my heart."

"Oh, my treasure, You can not let Ren win... This is what the real Ren does... We did tell you not to get close to him... He might love you, but he loves to win... Especially against York."

"I know Ace... I just want this to end... But he will not give up... What can I do? But only do as he wants and leave York?"

"We will have to stop him, I will talk with York... But for tonight you just rest, you are safe here."

"Thank you, Ace... Does York know I'm here?"

"I do not think so. He has not called so he must still not know you have gone... I will call him in the morning."

"I just need time to think."

"You can do that here, my treasure. Take as long as you like."

"Thank you, kind sir."

Ace chuckles softly then kissed my lips softly as he cuddles me. I love feeling Ace, but right now I want to hold York. Maybe I shouldn't have left him?... I miss him and my heart is breaking. Tears fall on Ace's hand. He looks at me then cups my face.

"Hey, it is okay. I will not do anything but stay by your side all night... I know you love York and you still love me too... I will not pressure you... Just let me love you tonight by holding you as I had once before?"

I nodded at him. He kisses my head then scoops me up in his arms as he carries me up to his room. Ace is like York in so many ways, he knows what I am thinking ... Maybe that is why I fell in love with Ace because he is just like York?
